Royal Mail - Recruiting for Christmas

I worked there for a while. If you are prepared to work the night-shift and do overtime you can make quite a lot of money, basically nobody wants to do it and you get a night allowance.
That was at a data entry center or MDEC. Sitting at a computer in a nice warm office. Lovely!0 -

It was nightshifts that I have applied for. There were nights/earlies on offer, but when they emailed me it mentioned just nights, so who knows?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

It just says this for my mail centre
Christmas Casual Engagement
Looked through and tried applying without giving any personal details still no info on shifts anyone know what they might be for xmas :money:0 -
I applied for an xmas job with royal mail, hoping to fit evenings around my 9-5. All very well, but all the interview slots were in 9-5 mon-fri! Great, so I have to take time off work to go for an interview when it would appear they don't even work the times I want to!
Needless to say I didn't bother.0 -
, I can only get a 'basic' bank account. I would, ideally, go for a Co-op 'cashminder' account, but we don't have a branch nearby.
Hi Rog
I have a co-op basic account and applied throught the post, but do all my banking online or via the post office eg. Cheques can be paid in to post office by using an envelope.Cash can be paid in using your debit card. The debit card can also be used in any link machine.I can also get my money out via the post office.
I have banked with co-op for over 5 years now and have to say that its the best bank around
lost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013
