From Barnados on my weekend away:
Per Una cream jersey top with green birds on and sprinklings of sequins.
Looks lovely with some M&S teal leggings. £4.00

From Red Cross in a new town this morning:
    M&S bottle-green jeggings £3.00. look unworn.
Primark burgundy needlecord pinafore dress £3.00. I know this isn't a great bargain but I bought one new (for £13) the other week and returned it as the hem didn't sit straight. This one fits much better and will go great with my Clarks ankle boots.

Yesterday I was in a museum and I was wearing a pair of jeans with turn ups and my black doc boots, I saw a woman in the same boots but she had wide legged cropped jeans also turned up, I sort of stalked her for a bit and today I went on the hunt and found a pair of Per Una dark indigo jeans, lovely and wide, fab condition and have a deep hem which I have turned back, they look so good - £4.40 paid.
    Trying to visualise this style.
I tend to wear my DMs with short(ish) skirts/dresses or skinny jeans.

I saved the best till last. A pair of Russell & Bromley leather brouge chelsea boots, leather lined and leather soles, the downside is they are bright cream so I am going to dye them dark brown (wish me luck or if you have experience of this - help me please), these seem to retail at £275 and I paid £4.
    Sound fab.
I might be tempted to leave them as they are.
I have a pair of Clarks brogue boots in a cream colour (but I do have a collection of dark brown boots).
  • Some great finds recently. Well done all

I’ve just started to visit a couple of local charity shops a short walk from where I live and I am now hooked! Recently I’ve bought some ugg boots vgc for £5.99 tan with 3 buttons up the side. I bought a lovely next dress for £3.99. A pair of nude kurt Geiger shoes with a sensible heel that had a mark on the sides but have come off with gentle persuasion for £3.99 and today I was amazed to get a men’s Barbour jacket (Akenside it says on the label) in almost unworn condition for £10. Got it for hubby but it’s a bit on the small side for him but I’ve decided it will be good for me in the winter if I’ve got a thick jumper underneath. I love bargain hunting

Oh so pleased with today's find! Was in the BHF shop in the city and was rifling through the skirts when my fingers touched some fabric that felt just gorgeous. Turned out to be a b/n MaxMara skirt, knee length with a kick pleat at the back, side slip pockets and zipped pockets at the back in a lovely dark camel colour. The fabric is a 50% vicuna and 50% cashmere mix!!! The lining is heavy patterned real silk and some of the detailing includes hand stitching. (Can you tell I have been examining it with a magnifying glass?) Can't find it online but I feel it must have been very expensive originally.....I paid £4.49 for it. :D

Strangely, I was in TkMaxx at the week-end, wandering about muttering 'how much', when I saw a nice 'boiled' wool cardi/jacket by Paul Costelloe in a light camel shade....so pleased I splurged as it looks great with the new acquisition!

This is a really great price. I buy dvd's and then donate them back so they can repeat the whole process again. I see lots of people looking at them but in some shops they are £1 each.

The volunteer said they had loads of DVDs (I think many shops do no people are moving to online stuff) and I said that if they were priced cheaply enough they would sell.

£1 each for ordinary DVDs won't get many shifted.

I’m a relatively new collector of Emma bridgewater pottery and on Facebook groups I belong too lots of people get amazing bargains from charity shops however they are quite elusive for me, but...., today my local scope provided me with a vintage bridgewater black toast jug for £1.99! I was so excited my heart was beating quickly. I really must get out more 😂😂

bobsa1 - I rarely see any Emma Bridgewater but if I do it is way too expensive. I have a toast mug, not vintage, it is the black lab one.

Pollycat - I normally wear my DM's the same way but they looked really good, the jeans just sit an inch or two above the top of the boot.

BridesMumAng - well done on your finds especially the jacket.

Miro - you do have a knack.

Do you remember a few weeks ago I was saying someone got a Fortnum & Mason hamper for £2 and was showing it on Youtube and that if it was for sale in my neck of the woods it would be at least £12? Well I found one at the weekend, it was a bigger one than the Youtube one but it was £15 - I left it but I did love it and wanted it for blankets in the living room but as DH said it would click them.

This style is Bailey button triplet - it's been one of their big sellers for a number of years.
I have a couple of pairs of kids size in bottle green and burgundy leather with just the one button.

The buttons alone sell on eBAy for about 99p each. :)

    Amazing bargain with the Barbour!

I have a small wicker basket, not F&M though - Selfridges :rotfl:- and I had to line it to stop things catching and snagging.
Making the lining wasn't a problem, but attaching it to the basket was awkward and painful (kept sticking myself with the needle instead of through the gaps in the weave!)
