The Spode mug has seen Guest visitor use - by a bloke so senior to me he mostly knows me as the lass with the eclectic collection of coffee sachets!

Also spotted a steel parker jotter on a carboot stall & brought it home for a clean up & new ink - now virtuously trying for single-use-plastic-free at work. I wonder if I can appeal to stationery to get me genuine Parker refills. (Might depend on the Official Catalogue, as our stationery bod loves my coffee sachets as well.)

Planning to spend some time sorting my fabric stash and barely used end of wardrobe to get sewing.

I’ve found bargains a little hard to find this week. On Saturday we visited the many cs shops of Leak without success. Local cs yielded very little other than a Bnwt white stuff tunic but not cheap at £15 but still bought as I wear that sort of thing a lot. Today I was wearing a pair of shoes not often worn and they were rubbing quite a bit. I popped into the cancer research shop and got a pair of excond rieker sandle slider type shoes for £3. A quick peek on the tire jet website reveals they cost £52. They are perhaps a little more blingy than I would usually go for but they are very comfirtable and summery looking

A longline navy blue pure silk shirt in the £1 Hospice clearance shop today. Brand is Hope - they are Italian. Found a similar one in royal blue (I prefer my navy) with full length sleeves (mine are 3/4) on their website for £150. :T

Also a M&S light blue linen shirt on the BHF's £1 clearance rail. A good day today :) .
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

No outstanding bargains today but an excellent haul.

    A ladies Paul Costello jumper
New look ladies skater style dress in dark burgundy shade
New look jumper with button detail down the back in similar shade to dress
Brand new Debenhams the collection monochrome linen dress
Like new next ladies linen shorts in white
George fluted sleeve black and white t shirt
    Pair of men’s black shoes
Men’s marks and spencer formal shirt.

All £1 each at the hospice outlet. Skater dress and jumper are for dd2’s workwear wardrobe which hopefully will soon be called into use. I’m buying her a couple of new suits but supplementing it with a few dresses and bits. She is cs averse so was surprised to find her receptive to the bargains

My lads mostly as being hauled around from shop to shop lacks appeal & they've only gradually realised we're amenable to them hunkering in libraries if they answer their mobiles. Knowing you're being exercised as a pack animal & navigational marker lacks yippee.
They do like the results, they don't enjoy the sheer financial saving, the eco-friendly ideals, not the thrill of the chase. Yet.

However, youngest son trusted his father in the matter of a Prom Suit & rocked a Ted Baker suit so unworn its pockets were still stitched closed. Eldest slipped into his Prom suit from a cs, set aside for him by a mother from his school who volunteered there & who tipped my husband off! (Well, the very skinny fit ones can be tricky to place, she grinned.) Since husband had shrewdly taken an indirect route to acquire shirt etc as well, lad then lost patience & bought an off the peg shirt for more than his suit, but we tried!

When it comes to the thrills of Cleveleys, my solution is simple - blackmail. Cooperate & get a fish supper or whatever you chose from the really nice chippy..

Went to the local hospice summer fair/everything £1/50p jumble sale/charity shop this morning. Came away with yet another b/n M & S t-shirt in my fave elbow length sleeve/longer length stylee....this time in a dark turquoise, £1. Then in the bric a brac I found a pair of crystal art deco stylee candle holders, (at first I thought they were just cheap pressed glass but a quick rub with a tissue removed the dust and revealed the Bohemia crystal label), 50p each. Also got a large pillar candle for 50p too. Donated 8 jars of h/m strawberry jam for the summer fair, (all gussied up with gingham hats :p)

Found the light weight jacket I wanted for DS for preschool as well this week, also in the £1 hospice shop.

On Tuesday I plan to find three more end of term gift sets for my kids class teachers and Ethan's preschool key worker. I gave one left over B&H xmas gift already set aside
