Hornsea pottery tea set (blue heirloom) - £3.50! It's my favourite Hornsea pattern and colour and so difficult to find compared to others. This was a good day.0

A couple of things found on my wanderings around the charity shops near the local school.
Adult colouring book unused 50p. Will put aside for a rainy day or for that matter a rainy day in a caravan! In the same shop a hammered bangle with a pearl, heart and green stone hanging on it for£1. Got home and it's got the tiniest silver hallmark on it. So given it a polish and it's now lovely!
At the independent charity shop I picked up 6@10p vintage glass baubles for Christmas. Think over time I will build up the collection and have a separate tree of some kind just for them.0 -
a brand new 80% wool 3/4 length grey coat, brand new for £10 until I got to the till where a voice said there's a cross on this one dear, you do know it's half price? Oh my!!! £5 for a warm and respectable appearance this winter? I'll take that! I also got a pretty fuchsia scarf for 50p to go with it, a framed print of geese to go in the grandpickles bedroom here for 50p, the complete The Good Life's DVD's for £2 and a cut glass bowl for my potpourri for £1…..quite a haul for very little money.0

I don't know if they are bargains but better than I find than on ebay. I prefer charity shops because you can try them on and feel the quality of the fabric.0 -

Sadly things didn't work out as planned this morning. The brexit news held me back a little and then the lady who was coming with me cried off with illness. In the end I didn't have time to call in at the charity shops but I will plan it better next time!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

I had time to spare before school pick up yesterday and wandered around the local " village" I use the word advisedly as it's more like a small town but terms itself the largest village in england. Anyway I digress. Pickings were exceptionally slim however I saw a brand new pair of interlined curtains but because they were not full length i left them. Well they prayed on my mind all yesterday evening so today I made a return trip and bagged them for £5. I think I've said before that I love quality curtains as I think they make a room however are beyond my budget in a regular shop. It is amazing how often fantastic curtains are available in the cs.0
