My latest bargain is currently in the freezer.
    It's a Hobbs long-line plum/maroon 100% merino wool cardigan.
    £1.00 Air Ambulance.
No moth holes but just being extra careful.

And if it fits in the freezer, it'll certainly fit in my wardrobe.

After making a donation of some more of DS's clothes (some of which came from there anyway!) I went into a different one a found a gorgeous dress and a pram suit, both Asda for £1.99 and £2.99, for No.2.

Then went into Asda for usual shopping and spotted the same pram suit, current season, £10!!

I have been looking for a bedside lamp for my table. I had my eye set on an Art Nouveau style lamp that features a lily pad base, curving steams and with trumpet shaped glass shades. The cheapest I could find was £45 online. I happened to be up in Exeter yesterday and found myself perusuing around the BHF shop which had a selection of home furniture. I practically leapt over a table to grab the identical lamp I'd been looking for and at £15! Bargain.
Do not make any sudden moves.

Ooooh so do I! The lamp sounds lovely :)

Was in the Debra charity shop today where most things are £1.99. Got myself a BNWT's, M & S, dark petrol blue, long dress in stretchy velvet, (is that 'velour'?). Long sleeves and a boat neck with little shoulder pads that give it some structure, (*cough* and balance the hips!). I bought it thinking I could use it to lounge about the house but having tried it on it's a bit too good for that. Might try shortening it to calf length as I never seem to go to functions that require floor length gowns these say, sadly.

Yesterday in Sue Ryder (where most of the clothes are £1) I got a nice pair of red plaid design curtains for £1- perfect for my doggy duvet charity makes. I'm always on the lookout for practical coloured cheap duvet covers or curtains as I seem to get given loads of the pale kind- not so practical for muddy dog paws!!

Nice M&S Woman smart sleeveless top (to go with summer shorts)- viscose- in Age Uk for £2.99

I really don't know if it works or not.
But every time I buy something wool/cashmere from a charity shop, that's what I do.
And - probably OCD - I put all my wool stuff in the freezer as well.
    And then I wash them.
Currently have jumpers, cardis and hats in there.

We had case making moths in our last house and they were a pig to get rid of and it cost me a fortune! I am super careful now and wash and tumble dry everything first. The heat from the tumble drier kills the eggs but isn't much good for wool!

Got 3 jumpers and two dresses (one for work, one casual) for £20 on Monday. The CS fairies hadn't smiled on melately so was really pleased.
Officially in a clique of idiots
