Lots of random bargains at Nettlebed today, but boy it was busy! I thought of you DfV as there was a box of assorted Denby Colonial Blue @ £10, snapped up by a delighted lady in front of me.
I dithered over an Outback four burner gas barbecue - it would have needed the wooden side slats sanding down and revarnishing, and a replacement gas hose, but was otherwise immaculate for £20. I walked away in the end because I didn't think Mister CJ would have been enthusiastic, but having just told him about it he looked all crestfallen and said I should have bought it! Can!!!8217;t win with him sometimes
My best bargain was a plastic storage case full of over 200 different coloured skeins of cross stitch threads, all neatly wound onto storage cards and labelled with the Anchor/DMC numbers, all for just £2.
Also bought a wooden tabletop screw/press thing which I am going to use as a cheese press. Only £1. Told you it was random today!0 -
In my local aged uk I got a per una cardigan for £3.99, a joules scarf for 99p. I got a brand new British library novel for 99p. Usually worth £8.99.£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480

Ginormous HP Sauce Mug on a Father's Day display. £10 on ebay, £1.49 in Salvation Army.
I like big mugs, and this is bigger than a Sports Direct mug.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
I got a Pyrex flan dish & a medium Pyrex casserole dish for £1.50 & 80p today!
Also in my haul was:
- a pretty wooden flowerpot for £2
- a really expensive-looking glazed pot for £4 (lady at the till told me it had been donated by a local pottery maker & sure enough it had a signature on the bottom of the pot!)
- one of those wire step shelf organisers that let you see what!!!8217;s in the back of a cupboard for 50p! Been looking for one of those for ages but I refused to buy one new as they!!!8217;re ridiculously expensive!“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. TappingI'm finding my way back to sanity again... but I don't really know what I'm gonna do when I get there~ LifehouseWhat’s fur ye will make go by ye… but also what’s not fur ye, ye can jist scroll on by!0 -

I have had it for 8 years and it has lasted through all of my embarrassing phases during my teenage years. Do you reckon it is too optimistic to hope that a similar one might pop up in the charity shop?
Never say never.
I had a rare computer whose external power supply packed up.
Wandered into a secondhand shop the following week and in there was an original power supply for my computer. Never parted with my money as fast since.
Also in my town we had a very good Saturday secondhand goods / flea market.
My brother and I always joked that if we just waited at one corner of this market, everything we were ever after eventually would pass us.The more I live, the more I learn.

Speaking of which...I bought a heavy trivet for 50p (on Amazon for $12.49), and 4 books for £1 yesterday.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
"No man is worth, crawling on the earth"- adapted from Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio
Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

Vfm4meplse - I love the design of that trivet.
I had a little wander with DD yesterday as we had to nip into town to do some banking. I got a Wallis crinkle maxi skirt in patchwork type design in greens with a green cotton lining for £2.19. Also got DD two BN M&S bras from Oxfam, one sports bra in black, the padded type for modesty (great when you run) and one very pretty lace one in black - £2.99 each.
DD bought herself a BNWT Topshop Moto dungaree dress £35 on the tag for £3.99.
I saw a few lovely winter dresses, work appropriate types but I left them as I have lots of winter clothes and just can't cram any other items into my wardrobes.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Secondhand market used to be held at Roots Hall car park. Good once, then went downhill. Haven't been there for some time, maybe defunct now.
Agree with HCR. Just a short walk for me, for a good afternoon wander. The more I live, the more I learn.

So I saw a Radley Bag very similar to my one in the Sue Ryder in town. Unfortunately it was £24.99, which I didn't really want to pay as it wasn't exactly mint condition, but I did find it quite funny that I did indeed see one.
In the end I got a few things;
A coral jersey wrap top by Boden with blue, grey and white leaves on it- £2.75. It has ruching around the stomach area, which makes my stomach look flat, and a deep v neck. Love it!
A pink Fat Face tshirt with a ditsy white floral pattern and lace on the shoulders- £2.99. Very pretty for summer and will pack tightly into my suitcase for my holiday.
A coral/orange Hobbs top with long sleeves- £1.99. It has a nice scoop neck which always suit me so it is very flattering.
An Adrienne Vittadini silk oblong scarf with a rose pattern- £1.99. It is almost as fine as my Jim Thompson so I am very pleased with this. I seem to have a growing collection of silk scarves
Elizabeth Is Missing paperback by Emma Healey- £1.25. I have wanted to read this for years because the author read English at UEA so I'm quite happy to have picked it up. Would have preferred it if it was 50p but oh well0 -

Thankfully they have a big car park and you can take your shopping trolley to the car.
They will last a long time nobody uses them.I put them on the towels at the end of they bed but they leave them On the windowsill.
They look expensive Scottish toiletries with is great because we're in Scotland.
Nobody uses the sachets of Nescaf! ,sugar or tea bags, biscuits ect which I find a bit odd. They leave me 5 star reviews so they must be happy. :rotfl:0
