I've logged back in several times and still haven't been asked any of the questions. So what was the point of the exercise?
I suspect Nationwide are just harvesting these secondary passwords from customers as they sign on and intend to use them after the next redesign of their website. Normally such details are asked for (or selected characters asked for) in other sites that use them before amending a standing order or something like that. BTW did you know you can use three 'memorable' words at the moment to log in but I've no idea now what the 'other two' were since I stick to a single memorable word at all times.
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam

Knowing one, you can log in, then via Preferences change the other two.

Like Millarky, I can't remember what the "other two" are either.
Thanks for reminding us about how to change but certainly up to now there has been no need to because any one of the three can be given. And in fact, you have to "change" all three because what they currently are is not displayed.

Id like to know if A&L have more fraud on their internet banking than any other. You can access their site with 2 clicks, no questions. most times. at worst you just have to put in Customer no!

However, the easy part is looking at the account - checking money going in and interest payments. If you want to change this or authorise a payment out, set up a standing order, etc you will need to enter further security details.

So what did you do? Did you set up a payment to go out on Monday or whenever?

I ask because I've managed to lock myself out of being able to make payments but can still view the account. And you are referring to A&L aren't you?

OK. I think if you really clicked through to finally confirm the payment you would find you would be required to enter characters from a passcode. So it isn't quite as easy as it might seem to move money out of the account and the A&L site is generally as secure as others.
