You're getting closer! 😊 This bit is the most annoying bit 😂 Once you've found one that's fine, you'll be pooling round all over the place on days out and everything will be super cheerful 😊
It really is annoying 🤣 very finicky.  Terrible for a tender snowflake such as wot I am.

What’s wrong with a panoramic roof?
After 9/11, my Friday commute to London was in a car with a panoramic roof (actually, now I think about it, a sunroof) and it was agony in the summer, we both hated it, my business partner, whose car it was, had to wear sunscreen inside the car as he was going a bit thin on top 😁  Just a personal thing.

And I'm not sure what you think is massive mileage but today's cars can go round the clock twice.  From what you say you aren't going to be doing much mileage anyway
Oh absolutely, its not about my mileage: but when Autotrader say a car's expected to have done 40,000 miles, and its actually done 80,000, I make a choice not to go there.  And after all of those were cut out, there were still ones that were 10k over what's expected, etc etc.  It's not perfect, but I had to find a way to shorten the list.  I'm kind of flailing around in the dark 😉

Finished my break now, and I'm going to check out these two garages, without making a firm commitment to either of them.  I'm going in ... smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Definitely a good idea to narrow your choices - making a decision with too much choice is hard! But if you do end up with one that's done slightly more mileage it's not necessarily an issue (both of ours are at almost 150k now 😂but I wouldn't advise that 😂 ). Less is better if you can get it!

Well, today was the day I was supposed to be going to do the test drives, but I cancelled first thing Wedneday, and I'm so glad - pretty tired, I did hardly anything yesterday - piles of dirty plates to put in the dishwasher, my London clothes to wash, figuring out how to back up my phone pix to the laptop (took forever, the instructions on how to do it are always useless), and not much else, I think.

Today is all about preparing for the little birthday party tomorrow - card, pressie, my clothes, my jewellery, bathroom good enough for my sister to use if she wants 🙄 The party isn't as little as I thought - bro, sister and partners from the other side, and their 3 little children will also be there.  The decibel level will be through the roof but luckily there's play equipment in the garden and enough flat grass to use it.  I won't be in demand personally with the kids (unless I can help with safety on the play equipment, which I've done before with other kids) as even my great niece doesn't really know me (Nanny's sister doesn't really cut it 😂😂😂)

I've got MV's cat music playing on YT, to check it out for the catsitting in January - I might well use it, but in summer I was thrilled that he felt at home enough to do the zoomies around the house, I don't want to calm him down from that.  It would definitely be nice at the end of the evening though, or if next door starts up.

What you need is some dog-tuned white noise and a way to pump it through to the poor dog! (Appreciate this is in no way feasible, sadly).

    Party sounds fun - enjoy!

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

The party is sounding a teensy bit grim, if I'm going to be entirely honest 🙄  all of them have an infection, for which they have antibiotics, no one has tested for covid, and the weather's due to be terrible, so the kids will all be inside 🙄 plus no one has seemed to think about ventilation 🙄  It's a big room, and I might take frequent breaks outside myself, accidentally leaving the door open 😁  My vaccinations are at max strength as I only had them two weeks ago, so what will be, will be.  I've informed my sister I'm not hugging anyone, and if the rich lot from Scotland want to, they can do one, quite frankly, sacrifice for my sister's perceptions of powerplays only goes so far 😎

Erm, I still haven't got pressie and clothes ready, though I *have* swept in here, and finally got the shopping out of the porch and clean.  Never mind, I have a skirt that's really nice, and some black boots that go with it, and ... we'll see about the rest, I think 🤣

ETA - oh, and chickenpox is now in the mix!
