Thanks all! And Happy Easter to you too, RT.
I've been away at sister's and nephew's, and consequently absolutely nothing to do the way I do things here, and my knee is *much* better. It can support me first thing in the morning, that kind of thing.
Visit was splendiferous, the new-to-them house is also splendiferous, with a view over the local allotmentsShattered now, but lots and lots of good memories as a result.

Morning! We have sunshine here, for now 🌞 A sky of doom is forecast for 4pm, so I plan to be home by then. I've been juggling emails - great suffering succotags, it's hard work reaching out and making new friends! The mad U3A man with Napoleonic pretensions is still trying to pretend he's not Napoleonic, so I'm still plugging away at that: two other people have made complaints, and I won't go that route, but I've told him I'll block him if he doesn't stop.
Fortunately, the good people are still out thereand they need emails too, though I must say I can't bear all this constant re-arranging I'm currently experiencing - but that's what things are, these days, I guess, people are juggling circumstances and commitments and illness.
So, today ... domestic stuff - dishwashing and tidying, I think, especially as my meet later today has been postponed. I really want to watch some more sewing machine videos, there are so many projects that would benefit, and I *want* to, anyway. But I still also need a bit of time out in the open air.

Hello all
rain and hail here - and I never got out for a walk or really even to breathe the air, argh. A casual enquiry from my sister about holidays has meant I've spent the entire afternoon online, looking at poky webpages full of fluff about bars and restaurants on board cruise ships, when I really want to know dates and itineraries. Maddening - I never booked package holidays, ever, before I got chronic fatigue, so I've no experience of doing this, it drives me insane 😭😨😩🤯😵🥴 I *so* want to go away, but I can't be doing with this level of planning for the entire holiday, it will make me ill, so I'm resigned to a cruise, but then a whole other level of difficulty begins.
/ends rant, as soon as possible, sorry!
Sewing projects! Right, I can think about that. Curtains and curtain lining, plus a thin mat to lay on my living room rug for when I (hopefully) do floor exercises. Given that I know what's on my rug, I've no intention of lying flat on it 🤣 The furoshiki, the Christmas wrappings, were a great success over Easter (!!!) but they need to be a bit more elaborate yet. But that's hand sewing.
Starnac, are you a fan of sewing? What do you do? Any websites/sewers you recommend? Cheery recommended one the other day, I've not looked at it yet, but I will.

I do sew. I used to sew professionally but gave it up as people have no idea the time that goes into making an outfit and therefore do not want to pay for your time. I mainly sew for personal reasons now. Just the odd clothing item for me or the kids, fancy dress outfits for the kids and the odd present.
Ooh a cruise sounds interesting. We did a week long one nearly 18years ago and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would to be honest. But as it was so long ago I would be no help to you now.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2003 -

Sewing sounds so intricate to me, starnac. And I've heard other people say that its almost impossible to make a living from handmade garments, people won't pay for the time they take.
I've only done cruises in the last 5 years - first one was Norway in June 2018, its a fair compromise for someone like me with fatigue issues. The year is taking shape: Kent at the end of this month, my sister's surprise holiday to Malta in May, so I'll probably also do something soon - Ambassador Line cruise to the Baltic is my favourite at the moment, then I think Irish two-centre holiday in September. Sister may have other ideas, of course; and my schoolfriend in North Wales has offered a place.
At the moment: recovering from getting caught in a hailstorm when I was out on a walk, and finishing off cleaning the supermarket delivery that arrived yesterday. Boring, but necessary.2023: the year I get to buy a car4
