I do sew. I used to sew professionally but gave it up as people have no idea the time that goes into making an outfit and therefore do not want to pay for your time. I mainly sew for personal reasons now. Just the odd clothing item for me or the kids, fancy dress outfits for the kids and the odd present.

Ooh a cruise sounds interesting. We did a week long one nearly 18years ago and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would to be honest. But as it was so long ago I would be no help to you now.

Sewing sounds so intricate to me, starnac.  And I've heard other people say that its almost impossible to make a living from handmade garments, people won't pay for the time they take.

I've only done cruises in the last 5 years - first one was Norway in June 2018, its a fair compromise for someone like me with fatigue issues.  The year is taking shape: Kent at the end of this month, my sister's surprise holiday to Malta in May, so I'll probably also do something soon - Ambassador Line cruise to the Baltic is my favourite at the moment, then I think Irish two-centre holiday in September.  Sister may have other ideas, of course; and my schoolfriend in North Wales has offered a place.

At the moment: recovering from getting caught in a hailstorm when I was out on a walk, and finishing off cleaning the supermarket delivery that arrived yesterday.  Boring, but necessary.
