Thanks El! I've done very little - washing machine on, a lot of it dried (heat on, window open, door to the rest of the house closed), chat with sister, bit of photo admin, had a 45 minute walk, since then I've mainly pootled 😛 and not cared that my sofa is stacked in the living room 😛 Roll on His Dark Materials.2023: the year I get to buy a car4

Morning! Yesterday was a horrendously domestic day - sweeping, dishwashing, clothes washing, me-washing, I even conditioned my hair, which is a rare thing because of energy levels. I need one more day of that over the next week - including chucking out the 7 year limit time-expired tax records (HMRC says I can throw out 2016/2017 after today, yay) washing *more* used plantpots I found in the second bedroom 🙄, tidying the porch (curtains need re-adjusting regularly, floor is filthy, bits of postal addresses need to be cut up and disposed of). I need to finish and submit the French accounts for France too. That lot can happen over the next week, but the forward looking plan for February is in the next post2023: the year I get to buy a car4

February: the chrysalis is cracking open, even if not completely
Yep, I have to get out there. This is the plan for February:
- Spaceflight group tomorrow.
- two zoom calls booked - Sustainable Fashion and Brick Walls in Family History (not strictly out in the world, but interesting to me).
- Here we go! British Museum visit with my sister, a hieroglyph exhibition, next Tuesday.
- okay, French accounts had better go in here.
- constructing the sofa had better go in here too.
- holiday planning. An and/or situation: Ireland, and a cruise. Ireland is my choice, not my sister's, so I'd have to take the lead on the planning, which is not what's evolved, but is only fair since it's my choice.
- planting. A lot of this has to get going in February, doesn't it - whether it's planning or doing.
- local Healthy Walks. Hmmm, the longer one that I want to go to clashes with the Hieroglyph trip, which *has* to be on that day. After the first week, maybe go to the shorter one, which is on a Wednesday?
- research cars and driving lessons! I haven't forgotten. Purchase of an up to date Highway Code might not be a bad thing, I know the recent changes were big.
That's probably enough 😛 I need to get out and about, so I need to use my time in the house better than I do, even though I've improved.

Hello Cheery, thanks! Yes, lots of plans are starting to get activated, brought into reality. The spaceflight group today was great, very interesting for a space geek like me, but it starts quite early for me, so I was shattered the whole day
and I haven't really done anything else. That's okay though - the point is not to get it all done at once, or overwhelm, and I did a lot yesterday.
Tomorrow, I have a planning phone call for the London trip with my sister, I need to write some emails, and the shopping is getting delivered. I really want to get rid of those 2016/17 tax papers, but the planning phone call, the emails and dealing with the shopping take priority, in all honesty 🤣 Then over the weekend its about working on the garden and getting prunings in the green bin before my lovely neighbour starts to need it again.2023: the year I get to buy a car1 -
Planning phone call took place, and ... I've bought a rail ticket! To London for the day! First time since the pandemic started - I had the trip to Liverpool last year to join the Iceland cruise, but this is the first time I've booked for what we used to do - meet up at Victoria and go see an exhibition or something in London. Took me ages to work out how to use thetrainline 🤣 and less amusingly, they now charge for anything except an e-ticket. Anyway, I've bought a first class off peak. Sister was gifted a British Museum membership by her son, and that includes a companion, i.e. me. No ticket expense, so I can splash on the travel.
ETA: baby Happy Wheel paid me 5p 🤣 and I won £100 on the premium bonds, hurray. If I can't bear to start something new, I might try to work out the rate of return over the last year2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
Well done on the win!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hello Al! Yes, he really is, I can't wait till she goes on holiday again and I can claim him for a little while.
Amazon purchases yesterday: hand gel and sun lotion factor 50, plus stuff I need to start driving again: kindle highway code (though I know I might need a paper one too), an A3 size atlas, and a Know Your Road Signs from the AA. Delivery on Sunday.
Today, the baby HW paid me 50p, woo woo, and I need to finish cleaning the shopping delivery from yesterday, figure out how to see the rail tickets I bought yesterday (can't find the downloaded pdfs, it wants me to download google pay, all sorts of carp), I have a zoom lecture at 2 on sustainable fashion, a few emails to prattle about on, and I'd really like to do some gardening/weeding. I can't let this stuff hang over me, I have to get it done so I can get out there.
