Happy New Year KC! It's lovely to see some 'sunshine' isn't it (i.e. there's actually enough light not to need the lights on all the time!).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hello lovely people - yes, that's an accurate description of "sunshine" at the moment - electric lights don't need to be on!
Nice walk, up and around a quiet local road, 40 mins or so, just right for what I needed. No cats though! Terrible 🤣
I'm doing the decluttering of the pantry, aiming to get like stored with like, and away in the plastic crates that are already there. Everything was completely mixed up, which made things more problematic, of course. The shelves are drying out from the vinegar spray - I may have been a bit too enthusiastic 🤣 and I've cleaned the walls down to the 3rd shelf, the one closest to the floor. The floor is also filthy again.
Of course, what I'm not mentioning is me sitting down every 5 minutes, to read or muck about with solitaire - but not doing that is the primary way of doing too much, so I'm being very good, really 😎2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
So, as well as pneumonia in the southern part of our family, we have covid and an unspecified infection in our northern family - they managed to get a GP appointment, and the GP actually called an ambulance, got them admitted. Doctors are hardly seen, place is madly overcrowded, and they're coping with an 8 year old who wants his mum and isn't allowed to see her.
Meanwhile, here's me, 250 miles away, messing about with vinegar on the walls2023: the year I get to buy a car2 -
Oh dear KC, that sounds awful 😢 Is the 8 year old the patient or is it his mum? Sorry, I couldn’t make it out. Not good either way. But, apart from sending good wishes, there’s nothing really you can do, so I don’t see what’s wrong with sorting out your house - it needs doing too, so you have a healthy environment. I hope you hear good news soon!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Crikey, sending lots of good wishes to your family, what a difficult situation. I agree though, there's nothing you can do, so concentrating on making your own home a better environment is no bad thing xx2
