    Yesterday:
    - an hour in the garden, as the green bin will be collected this Tuesday.
    - an hour in the kitchen!  Clearing and putting away, everything from washing to holiday leftovers 😮  by that stage, I really couldn't be bothered with cleaning the actual window that was the focus of this effort 🤣 so I didn't.
    - I was doing an environmental thing on the computer, and I finally taught myself how to make my own google maps image - I was mapping out nature reserves in my county.  Woo!

    Today:
    - finalised the path to the kitchen window by putting the dishwasher on 🤣 and cleaned the window!  OMG!  I cleaned the window 🤣  It took about 3 minutes ... hey ho.  Interestingly (to me) I thought it was splashes from the sink that made it dirty - it wasn't, the glass itself had black residue, even at the top, which must be from the gas hob, because I cleaned it a little while ago when I put up the tension rod that's hanging there waiting.  It's surprised me - I'll pay more attention to ventilation when the hob is on, I think, that's a *lot* of residue, in a quite short space of time.

    Rest of today:
    - bit more in the garden, if it stops raining, the ground is lovely and wet right now.
    - I might have a play with the kitchen curtain, at least get the rings on the rod and get the appropriate number of plastic hanging things onto the curtain.
    - play with the genealogy.

Yep, that was yesterday ... watching the rain, dashing out to fill the very top of the green bin with garden rubbish, including challenging some very aggressive brambles coming over the top of the fence, setting up the curtain hooks and rings, which felt great to do, plus some research on NHS policies for a rellie, going to be following that up over the next few days.

And I found my driving licence!  Sitting on my desk 😛 which is a 🕳 at the moment (that's a black hole 🤣 though not a very impressive one).

    Today:
    - U3A AGM on Zoom - I'll do it from my phone, like I did the space meeting.
    - realised I haven't paid my dues this year, so I'll do that this morning.
    - do the confirming ID for the currency firm, now I've found my driving licence.  Better comb my hair first 😎
    - put the curtain up!  I'm not certain if its going to be too long or the hooks are in the right level, we'll see.  I also need to have something to tie it back with when its open, rather than let it hang, because of what it hangs from.
    - hmmm, emergency stations have now been reached on the state of all four plugholes in this house 👀
    - get the green bin over to its pickup point, and if there's any space in it, chuck some other stuff in there.

I did a bit of a review on Sensible September, but my formatting on this website made it go crazy, so I had to delete the whole thing.  Will try again if I need to sit down and focus.

It is, El - mine is a big branch, just over 900 members even now, and it has links with nearby town as well (like, 5 miles away :) ).  It's very interest-based, which suits me.

Done.  Couldn't figure out how to use Zoom chat on my phone, I might need to do the double login if this continues.

    Done.

    Nothing doing.  Yet.

Done!  Victory!  It's not quite long enough, and it needs its "ruffles" to be unruffled so it can act like a blind, not a curtain, but its good!

    Neighbour did it, bless 'im.
That's better than I thought, actually :)  Today:
    - tweak the curtain
    - do the French form and see if it's accepted.
    - do the plugholes.  This is much more urgent than I'm making out 👀🤣
    - clean Healthy Supplies shopping, delivered last Saturday I think - its still in the porch, and I have an Asda delivery tomorrow 👀🤣
    - lightbulb in my bedroom died about 2 weeks ago, I've been using a table lamp, and I'm bored.  Change the bleeping lightbulb 👀🤣
    - vacuum.  Even a little bit.  Boredom with the tasks is not an excuse to never do them.

I've wanted to get into that kinda stuff for the longest time, but I think I'm too young just now, will need to wait till I retire... will live vicariously through you till then 😉

It's pretty good - it's quite diverse, unlike the WI round here, which I briefly scanned and abandoned.  The day trips these kinds of places run are all fairly much the same, but the atmosphere and interests of U3A are very widespread :) and yes, I marked it out well before I retired :)  It costs £10 this year, though that's going up (for the first time in a long, long time) to £14 next year.  Bargainous.

I think you can join the U3A at 50. Depending on your retirement plans you might be able start before you retire.

My local U3A has a group I would really like to go to unfortunately it clashes with an existing commitment.

For me, the clashes were always the thing, Baileys Babe - and as a self employed counsellor/therapist, I couldn't go to a U3A session and turn away an existing client - ethically and financially, it wouldn't work 😮  Sorry that you're finding a clash too.  Roll on retirement 😎
