Apologies, its on the front of this website! Watch: Martin Lewis issues stark warning to Tory leadership candidates to act over 'financial time bomb' in video open letter (moneysavingexpert.com)
I'm pretty sure they *won't* listen, but he might be able to shame them into a gesture. He's an impassioned man, doing what he deeply believes is right - can't say fairer!2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Watched it on Beanies, he really looked effected by it, my heart went out to him, I could see it was upsetting for him, and it scares me Kc ... like proper scared me3

That's what made me mention it, El, he really did look affected. And the feedback he's been getting has been strong too
Makes me more determined than ever to work on ways to cut down, and to insulate before summer's over, weird as that sounds right now. It's looking like this holiday to Iceland might be my last hurrah.

best make sure it's a guid un, it may need to do you a while, as he says time to batten down the hatches, I know we will need to3
-
Absolutely, El, as long as I don't test positive for covid (compulsory tests, then isolation in an unoccupied cabin) it will be a humdinger. Then the focus is definitely on battening down the hatch, as I've just been wittering about on beanie's thread.
In that spirit: Happy Wheel gave me a free £1 for the casino, which I turned into £1.20 of actual money. Phoning my sister in a few minutes, and then I'll have a serious think about the day today.2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Happy Wheel didn't want to remember my password, and getting a new one somehow bollixed up my chances of using the game spins that I won - such is life, yesterday was a good day on it.
Yesterday, I got all the necessary electronic documents onto my phone, and even onto my new kindle; I've learned how to use the kindle properly, so I'm very happy with that. Phone numbers for the ship, the firm and for taxis in Belfast (the first stop) are also in the phone.
Currently the last wash in the machine, so I have fairly clean sheets to come back toand I made a list of all the "little jobs" to do before I leave, as well as the stuff that's on my list already:
- 10 items on the list I've been using, some are already part done, and will literally take only 10 minutes. Others much longer 👀
- ahem, 23 things I either need to do or would like to do before I go: from chatting with the neighbour who's looking after my house to opening the post to cleaning a bit of the kitchen floor to clearing away the nest of spiders that's just hatched in my hall 👀 At least putting the washing machine on is the first of those!2023: the year I get to buy a car5
