Currently doing as little as I can, to try to recover from the chronic fatigue attack, but its not so bad nowadays that I don't get bored. So I've been distributing my "downloads" folder to the correct places on my laptop. Done! It's not really finished, there are subfolders that are wildly out of whack, but I don't care. There are also many finance statements to be downloaded for this tax year, and I don't care about those either, those are easy enough to do in the same way, watching tv etc.
So another item ticked off the big list, and I'll now back up the computer, which will tick another item. Good stuff14 small jobs done, of 18 listed, pleased with that. The big jobs, they're untouched since last weekend, that's okay, but I *am* finally 99% ready to fill skirting board gaps, I just need to find some nitrile gloves. And get up, of course
2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
Backing up the computer is the thing I always miss even though it is on my monthly to-do list. This could potentially be disastrous as my off-line computer has all my friend's books on from 2007 although I do have printouts to 2012. So would only lose 9 years, don't tell HMRC!! What it is to be a world champion procrastinator.

OMG, 9 years! Badmemory! I do it once a quarter or so - I'm a terror for downloading documents I'm interested in, and uploading to my computer all my pictures.
Backups are finished, that's another item I can tick off: 15/18, hurray.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
OCTOBER PLOT UPDATE
ADMIN
New aim: £5,000 new money over the next year, for premium bonds/ car.
send some euros to the UKfund principality accountssend London friend the genealogy info
LARGER PROJECTSDecide on what to knit for the new baby, with the wool I already have. And start knitting!Purchases: Christmas presents. Good lord, Christmas presents!
Prepare for winter's garden diy tasks.
Cutting back the garden.
Cleaning. It's now much better than it was, but some areas still look like a slum 😮
Clearing away in living room, bedroom, and kitchen, so that I can get people in for quotes.
TAKEAWAY POINTS:
Only 3 small jobs to be done, and I'll easily be able to complete those by the end of October.
Six larger items, projects really - first three are untouched, working steadily at the other three.
Overview: timescale of a month suits me really well! What's been happening? A few days of the Hampshire holiday; 4 birthdays catered to; Christmas cards found (though smaller than I thought); day out with nephew and his family has been causing *endless* negotiation; Space and Astronomy Group at U3A ditto, but I'm the awkward one there - transport, covid status, blah blah. For sure, November will be including researching a driving instructor for those refresher lessons. On the whole, though, very pleased.2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -

Thanks beanie, thanks debtfree - I need to check the bank online, to see that the money's left the account today - I'm still not fully convinced all's well with that!
Tidying, tidying and tidying, apart from a YG survey. Not only for someone to survey the needed double glazing, but also to work on the boiler. I've also done another "free to renovate - please take" sign, on the frame of my old Ikea armchair - I don't want it, there's no cushion on it because I've thrown it away, I just don't want to give it floorspace. The old bike went in 15 minutes, this will take a bit longer, I think
Going to hunt a gas boiler service engineer right now2023: the year I get to buy a car3 -
Gas engineer booked - for Wednesday morning, yikes, 8 - 8.30. But it's a firm I know, and they're really good, so I'll wait. After a bit, I realised there was nothing on their website about covid precautions, so I rang back - staff will wear masks "if requested", so I requested. Slightly wary of the attitude, but I've had brilliant service in the past, so we'll see.
Otherwise, I've been tidying, phoning, and basically trying to ignore my life day to daylooking forward to a petting zoo tomorrow with a 3 year old and a baby, for heaven's sake!

Aw,enjoy the petting zoo! 😊😊
Lots of achieveme to there, well done! Can you send your gas engineer up here when you're done with them?? 😂3 -
The petting zoo was blissful! A couple of llamas were there, otherwise it was ordinary stuff - though the breeds were a bit special, there were some chickens that I couldn't tell which way round they were, even after I'd taken a photo
not downloaded anything yet, but we'll see. The seven month old Tiny Human was the star, of course, absolutely adorable. The 3 year old had a nuclear power station tucked up the back of his jumper
he didn't stop. At all
wonderful! Bit of a double take when we met up, because my brother's first wife joined us - a covid refugee, as her son put it, she was supposed to be looking after the children of the other London offspring, but he's come down with covid, so that family is self isolating. Bit of a worry. I worried my sister too, apparently, I went white at one stage - I didn't realise, it just shows you when you're used to pushing through stuff, it can do you a disservice. I'm quiveringly tired today, but that's all, I think. I'm just going to play around with the pictures, and that's that.
