Thanks both!
My commitment to 2 hours a day is bearing up well, though it doesn't seem to be *fully* extra to normal stuffI did the "finish cleaning the shopping, make sure I get all the rubbish in the landfill bin for tomorrow, then any of the optional tasks like weeding" that worked well, plus a bit of a walk as I went to post some cards.
I had an experimental order of gluten free bread - bought several types. I wouldn't have it regularly anyway, because of the expense for what it is, but having had 2 portions in 2 days, the chemical after-taste in my mouth is disgusting. I'll eat what I've bought, but I'll stick it in the freezer and only eat it once a fortnight or something. I just don't eat food regularly that's that highly processed - even my own diy bakes are better than that, for me - my taste buds are weird, lets face it, either quivering in over reaction, like today, or completely "deaf", so to speak. No way round it, sadly, just have to do what's best for me, and it's probably not the best idea in the world to *make* myself eat expensive food right now ...2023: the year I get to buy a car4 -
My little local holiday next week is in a bit of jeopardy: sister always runs her petrol right down before our trips, so when she fills up, we know to within 10% or so whats been used on the holiday, and we split it. Her town is currently completely gridlocked, with people driving between petrol stations. She might try tonight, locally, and she has an obligation to about 20m of driving tomorrow. Unexpected bumps on the road ... I'm tidying and cleaning, nowt else to do, though I might take a walk this afternoon and look at *my* petrol stations.2023: the year I get to buy a car4

Oh dear - how terrible dearest KC - we noted yesterday that our driving route through several towns was hampered by long queues at the petrol stations, mainly by gas-guzzlers - 4X4's and the like. Petrol stations along the motorway & in our own town did not seem to have the same issues!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Crikey KC! I confess I didn't really realise what was going on until today. The light started flashing on one car the other day, and the first place didn't have diesel, but the second was fine. Yesterday we got a bit low in the other car, and I drove past several open petrol stations with no queues, completely oblivious, and then had to queue a bit this morning feeling like an idiot! Hope you can get some somewhere so you can still go on your trip.4

I was lucky enough to fill up yesterday morning. Just had to wait behind one car. But when I was done and pulled off the forecourt, there was a queue. It's ridiculous down here!

Thank you all, lovely ones
we're not leaving till Tuesday, so the rush might be gone by then, and some resupply happening - because in this particular instance, I believe that there's enough fuel in the country, that this time it really is about transport and distribution. Hopefully, because people have filled up tip top, she'll be able to get some fuel before then.
Crazy, isn't it! We really never know where the next unintended consequence of whatever-it-is is going to come from!
Domestically - ha, plugholes clearedwhich they haven't been for a long time. Inside the microwave cleaned ... that was a real victory
I still have to change the bed, but that's okay. Going to watch Strictly now, see if it still holds its magic.
