Lovely ta-da list KC!  Love the idea of tidying spiraling out of control (in a good way.)  So sorry to hear your sis is down with a virus, hope she feels better soon & glad it's not the dreaded C-word.

With you on the sloshing garden dilemma - while waiting for the plumber this morning, I was wanting to do some weeding, but didn't fancy getting wet feet and knees in the bog that our garden has turned into over the past couple of weeks.
Hi RT! Yep, I'll be checking on sis in a bit - at least her little garden didn't drown, so that's something   Dear me, I'm so late this morning, my fault - I checked out the newspaper archive, and I'd have to go to the library to get the details for free, and I don't want to do that, not even just because of covid, its a long walk.  So I'll wait and pay for 3 months or something when I know more of what I want - there are inquests, a marriage into riches, a firm that went bust, bits and bobs like that.

Hope your sis feels better soon, seem to be some nasty colds and non covid viruses going about now that people are emerging once again.  Good that the Quinoa experiment worked and hopefully didn't taste 'horrendous', the little seeds are different, they remind me a bit of teeny shells.....
Thanks teapot - I hadn't realised about the lurgies around, as I'm not really emerging in the same way     I confess it's because of a lack of local friends rather than anything else - its going to be quite hard these days to fix that.  The quinoa was brilliant, thanks!  It has much more texture than pasta, or even rice, but the one I was using was a mixed pack, so the grittiness didn't overwhelm.  Apparently its safe to freeze and reheat too, so I'll be doing portions in advance with lentils, then adding my chosen veg to it as we go.

Hello all, my word, those are useful posts, thank you.  It makes sense that ordinary sniffles and viruses are still out there ready to make a comeback, sadly ...

badmemory and RT, I am *so* with you on not being extrovert.  I used to look like one - it was camouflage, that's all.  My sympathies on the elbow thing, RT, I can't believe that's made it off the news reports and into real life, drat!  I don't want to touch anyone with anything!  I do sympathise with extroverts, especially tactile extroverts, but I have no solution for them, sadly, except to listen and accept.

Been a walk, didn't get rained on, even sat on a bench and admired the huge village green. Go me!   Plus I managed to eat lunch before my Asda delivery arrived - I'm ogling the package of hash browns  >:) I've cleaned and packed away all the frozen stuff, I'll be starting on the chilled stuff soon.  My sage plants are outside, getting some fresh air (and a rain shower, yay).  Basil plants have made it to a windowsill, all 5 still going strong.  The twelve mint plants have just emailed to say they're on their way 😁

Tiny Human news: the 12lb baby earlier this year was actually 7lbs something  :D I blame my brother's hearing :) so, sorry to all the folks with whom I discussed the issues around a 12lb baby!  There's another one on the way - I owe this one a hand knitted something, that's going to be interesting!
