Good luck with Virginia! I think you're very brave attempting that in the same day as the other detangling you've been doing!!4

Thanks Cheery
I like "Virginia" - still fast to say, but it subverts Richard's intent
I *think* things are sorted - the message, on the old account, was more self justification by them, I was whinging to them that I'd made an online withdrawal, so phone conversations 8 hours later weren't exactly my idea of "starting" a withdrawal, which is how they phrased it. I made my point, they don't care that their messages are badly phrased, so it goes. The new Virgin account, I thought, I can't be bothered to find a new place to open up. I'll write down the parameters, and stick to them, and that's it. Maybe if we get another lockdown (ssshhhhhh!) I'll shock them and start MBing
Anyway, logged on to my bank, downloaded statements, sent some money to the new Virgin account.
Then I signed on to my visa cc, downloaded latest statement.
Then I signed in to the new isa with the existing company, downloaded statements there.
Then I logged on to my French current account and paid the maintenance company. E130, that's fine.
Hmm, that's only a total of 4 jobs from my "desperate to do" list, but it's also lots of statements downloaded, which I've realised is important to keep up with - I'm hanging on to the notification emails until I've downloaded what they're referring to, and only *then* deleting the email.
I'm going to have a cup of tea nowOptions after that are census form, cleaning some shopping, sorting the plates in the kitchen cupboard where I broke the glass container, and/or changing my bed. What a glamorous life! But I wanted a lot of this admin done and dusted before Easter, even if I'm not at work 😁

Changing the bed would have been my choice - love the feel of fresh bed linen.

I agree, apple, I do - but I'm absolutely ker-nackered, the only thing I could do after that was sit like a pudding, and then make sure I had a fairly balanced evening meal
I can literally hardly keep my eyes open - I might be heading for bed real soon now.

Phew, Easter Saturday is turning out to be a bit more active (in the online sense!) than I thought. I couldn't resist my fun writing, which often needs a bit of research (temporary fence panels have those whacking great plastic things that you stick the posts into? Feet! They're called feet. Very logical, I'm happy
)
Filled in the census form: I've now had 3 different security numbers, which is a very bad delay for a genealogist, so I chose the latest one and got to it. Trying to imagine the reactions of some of my ancestors to the questionsit would be very funny.
Took all the money out of the Ratesetter account: it's closing to investors, because its been so successful it was bought by the Metro Bank. The money doesn't come to me till the first day of the new tax year, but its just declared savings returning home, not income, so no worries. I also downloaded their description of the last few days of the account, there's about 100 listings on there, they obviously divided investors' money between many people who took out loans. No wonder they got sold to an actual bank.
Got another bucketful of sawdust from my neighbour for my little path, it's doing well. I must summarise the information for him on how he can use it as a fuel in his woodburner, you can't just chuck it on - he tried that, and it exploded with a force that shook the chimney.
Parcel was collected by Royal Mail, sending the sleepsuits to the new baby. Let's see if I get the refund now that the actual parcel has been collected.
I'm phoning my old mate in the city by the sea this afternoon - he's already been out with his walking football team, bless 'im
Otherwise, I'm catching up on my ridiculous March to-do list. I'm not prepared to call it April's yet2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -

I've been a bit side-tracked by sorting out a shopping delivery for the end of the week and trying to meal-plan to make room in the freezer for some bulk buys. Now that delivery passes are available again, am hoping to ease us slowly back into weekly grocery deliveries instead of monthly, but still want to take advantage of bulk buying some basics before that happens. Once I'm expected to go back into the office (mid-summer), I'll not have the time nor the energy for lots of advanced planning so the old habit of a small weekly delivery will suit us much more & is only feasible with a delivery subscription!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!3 -
Good to know, RT, thanks for that
gosh, fancy you going back into the office - that's really something. Spoken to my old partner, bed is changed and half of it washed and out there drying, this late list has been really useful. I'm going to pretend that April doesn't start until 6th April, which is, conveniently, the start of the new tax year
so anything I do between now and then counts as March
Nothing has yet been planted, and most of the rest is about cleaning the kitchen, extremely important in the context of all that broken glass that must be somewhere but I can't find it!
I also want to make my first ever ordinary nut loaf and check if I still have some ballet shoes. The soles might hurt too much (very narrow) but I won't know till I try. But right now, I might just read my kindle for a little bit
