Ooh, I bet those massive rolls of paper were really exciting! Mr Cheery's dad was a printer too
we have a sack full of old type in the loft somewhere waiting for a project (Mr Cheery rescued that, his dad used to burn it!)

Do you remember the time when I could only post backwards and with every word starting with a capital letter? Now that was certainly a glitch inthetime-space continuum...

loving the sound of the old type, wow! My dad was a lovely man, a real gentleman, but not a creative bone in his body, so he never brought type home. I wish he had! Good luck to Mr Cheery, that's going to be fascinating.

Feeling slightly grumpified today after some bad interactions yesterday (my god! I had interactions) but of course nothing whatsoever compared to what's going on out there.
Just about to get my act together and phone brother, then more work in the garden today: I expected my JL delivery to be near to turning up, but myHermes still say "we're expecting it" (the very first stage), so I'm safe to be in the back for a bit. Going to take my kneeler though - a lot of problems last night with my feet because I squatted down rather than kneeling - I'll just have to get it muddy. The pain might be a cause of the slight grumpiness, actually! Better mud than grumpy

Thanks! It felt like ... an accomplishment
a whole stretch between two of the new posts was cleared, I even sawed off one of the remaining branches of the buddleia that was going to make things difficult as it grew, and I manhandled half a coping stone into position under the fence. Rescued quite a few worms too

Very tired from scrabbling about in the mud yesterday, that was a bit much - I had a slow morning, faffing about with offcuts of various thicknesses of cotton to make face masks, but even that was a bit much. Had a very, very long lunchtime though
and feel much better - might do a little bit outside, managed a chat with bruv and he's off to the beach for a walk now, which just sounds heavenly. When this phase of the pandemic is over, I'll buy an e-bike that's got a good enough battery to get me to and from the coast (10 miles or so away) that's definitely good times to come.
For now: I've bought another wodge of premium bonds, and I'm off to the garden, even if its just to stare at what I've already done
