Glad to hear about your fence and gate, hope the other fence can go ahead too - is it weather dependent or lockdown dependent? Thats another ticked off your list4

2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
Morning! Lovely day here, tho very cold. I've woken to a dozen or so cat photos
which makes me happy
As it's the last day before official lockdown, I think I'm actually going to go for a walk, good heavens. There's a definite frost here, so I don't want to do any digging right now. Actual letters have arrived in the post, and I don't think they're circulars, so I'll pay attention to them later. I may also ... can't believe I'm saying this ... log on to my various online accounts on the new computer. I'm setting up a new bookmarking system, but keeping an html version of the old set (which is absolutely huuuuge.

Enjoy your walk - although it's one of the few things we can do once lockdown has started!
It is lovely looking outside, but we had a frost too - chilly!

Thank you both! The walk was amazing - wow, we really took for granted the good summer weather, didn't we? I did, anyway. I didn't do anything else I mentioned, oops - had to chat with my sister, and I'm going to stay with her again on a medically-exempt stay, sadly. Necessary. But it will also be adorable, because she's looking after cats, and they know me - they're *very* timid, being elderly rescue cats, but they might come out to be strokedOtherwise, carrying on with what I've *actually* been doing - clearing the patio, leaves, used flowerpots, overgrown grass, ivy, slate chips, that sort of thing. It sounds odd to say, but clearing the patio strongly increases my standard of living, as I'm not surrounded by a tip any more ...2023: the year I get to buy a car6

I think staying with your sister (for whatever reason) sounds like a good idea - company and cats!
Good news on the patio - like you said, it improves quality of life!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thanks both! I'm really looking forward to the cat aspect, I must say. The last few years, I've done maybe four weeks catsitting per year, and I haven't done *any* this year, because of the pandemic. So even a couple of days will be very welcome.
Huge step forward just now: I've been transferring log-ins from the old computer to the new. A fair number of passwords (including mse) have been lost. Of course, passwords on my phone will now need to be updated - I'll survive that
