My last full day in London: I went to the Mars exhibition at the Design Museum yesterday, as well as their annual show. Today, I thought I'd take it easy, just go to Parliament Square to see the shenanigans, and it was lovely, a small school strike with lots of people like me (older people sightseeing :):):) ) as well as normal tourists. Drone activity by the police was marked (they were taking off from Victoria Tower Gardens :)

And I'd been in for about an hour when the news of another terrorist incident at London Bridge came in :( its a long, long time since I've been out and about in London when a terrorist event took place :( that was the big one in the City of London. It's something I've thought about, but never really expected to happen again. Sister was travelling through rail terminuses on the eastern side of London today too :( just checking with her :(

    Time to go home!

  • Hi Karmacat,
Just wanted to say hello, I've been reading for years but only just started posting!
I would like to encourage Team Profit, it took me 9 months from first reading about it to actually doing something about it. I am now up to £300 in 2 weeks :j I have been rushing through the offers a bit but even if you don't it is free money for a bit of time spent :D it has taken me a while to get my head around it and I can now have a conversation about football, something I never thought I would do :rotfl:

Hello Suze :):):) thank you for posting - and thats a *really* good name! Thank you for reading along :)

Congratulations on your Team Profit achievement :j how long were you reading it before you went ahead and started? I do suspect I won't be as quick off the bat as others (like you and Cheery) because I've done mse-version of matched betting already, so I'm a member of a lot of firms. Hey ho - nothing bad can happen as long as I'm honest.

I love that you've posted, but I don't want to mindlessly acquiesce ... these are my projects for December, in addition to regular stuff like the walks:

1 - four Christmassy celebrations, all quite small, but they take up the same amount of time as the big ones, after all :) (four days)

2 - cards :o I have done no cards, but I only do about 35 anyway, probably less, actually. Don't know :o at any rate, I have all the cards. (one day total)

3 - presents. I have bought no presents :o but I only need to buy six, possibly seven, and I only ever buy presents that can be used - used up, that is. Should be okay, as long as I get my finger out. (two days total)

4 - accounts! Because I still have the French apartment, I still need to do a UK tax return. I don't pay any tax over here, but thats not the point, the work still needs to be done. (one day total)

5 - my elec and gas deal ran out a month (or two?) ago - got to get my act together. (one half day total). Plus chasing U3A **again** in time for 4th December, and renewing my TV licence.

6 - as my contribution to our Christmas lunch, I'm doing the veggie main course. I want to do something with ground almonds and mushrooms, I had something on the cruise that was utterly sumptuous, and I'd like to find something close to that, if I can. (one day total, practice and Real One).

Hmmm. Nine and a half extra days ... plus winterizing the garden. This is why I'm still posting so regularly on here :( I really need the focus. Sorry Suze, sorry Cheery, I'm not going to go for Team Profit on top of that lot. What I *will* do is do as much as I can, as soon as I can. If I can manage a clear week in the runup to Christmas (no extras between 17th and 25th, just regular stuff) then I'll do it then.

That's actually got me planning meticulously for December :rotfl::j :rotfl::j :rotfl::j never done that before, so thank you :T

    So have I!
  • Your list sounds very organised and impressive!

I was digging up bamboo roots today, what a nightmare, it was my fifth attempt  I did finish them though :j

I joined Team Profit back in February but it wasn't the right time. A couple of weekends ago I just decided to go for it and made my first £12! no stopping me now, I am spending far too much time on it, mainly because I keep comparing odds to get the most profit, but it's certainly more lucrative than surveys, I only made about £12 today but am receiving a lot of free bets tomorrow :D there are new bookies and offers all the time Karmacat, I'm doing a few ongoing offers, I'm sure there's loads of potential for you :)

Apple, greenbee - sorry to hear you're trying to do it too :rotfl: one thing I absolutely must do today is insulate my new garden tap, it was installed when the kitchen was renovated, because the pipe to the old one was stopping the dishwasher going fully under the worksurface.

Hi StrawberrySuze, I guarantee you, only because of your comment, so thanks again

I've heard how tough they are :( I hope they've gone this time.

Oh! Thats good to know - I thought you had to pay a monthly fee right away! I might have a proper look this evening then :) And I really wouldn't worry about taking too long on it - the speed you start at isn't the speed you'll use when you're more familiar with it all. Good luck!
