Awww ... thats true, actually ... my niece-in-law's brother and sister only live 20 minutes away (ie nothing at all in London) but they both have babies, and its a lot to ask people to come in twice a day, or even once. And since they know I adore cats, and was in fact begging them for the job when I retired :D its fine :D

Currently the cats are on the bed grooming one another, the Polish cleaner is in (same one - we recognise one another, at least) and my laptop is on my knee as I'm sitting on the bedroom floor. If I won the million pound premium bond and had the money to employ a cleaner, I'd be in trouble :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lovely day yesterday, walked across a pedestrian bridge over the Thames, met up with an old friend, inspected a couple of Christmas markets :D Annoyingly, my phone was *not* happy out and about, wouldn't send texts all day; its been doing SB this morning (why not? :p) but texts still seem to be causing the silly thing some trouble. Grrr.

I need a slow day today - I may even start to look at Team Profit :)

ETA - I bet your lovely house cats really love you!

On the subject of texts KC - have you deleted any old ones recently? My previous mobile had a limit on how many texts it would store and seized up on occasion - I'd have a go every so often and delete useless ones from the grocery store, @m@zon, banks etc...

Hi RT - I do that fairly regularly, but it isn't likely to be gummed up nowadays - It was originally 8 gigabytes, and I installed another 64GB :D which cost approx tuppence ha'penny :D It means my photos are stored in odd places within the phone, but there's lots of space, at least.

Noffink really going on today, just resting after a hectic few days - slightly weirded by having two sets of people at the door in two days - never happened here before, doesn't happen at mine either. Might whatsapp my rellies, just see if a delivery was expected or something.

    Trip out tomorrow :j:j:j

Erm... I know this sounds daft, but have you tried turning the phone off and on again. Sorry!

Yes, one of the cats definitely loves me - if the definition of love is putting paws all over my face and licking my neck.... The paws are lovely, the tiny sharp claws, not so much!

The Christmas markets sound good - we're not going abroad to any this year and I'm having withdrawal symptoms already! Might visit the ones in Brum, as have heard they're good.

Huh .... no, I haven't tried that, actually! Just logging in now after the afternoon out in *very* cold weather - I'll give it a go tomorrow, thanks for that.

Cat love is *definitely* inclusive of tiny claws :) The cold day here was out looking at the Thames Barrier, constructing stories for my bestselling novel :D No cats, but a few birds of prey stood on each of the barriers :D

A sad little note though: the wreck of the Royal Iris is nearby https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Royal_Iris It was very, very posh when I was a kid growing up, so sad to see it in that state.

Glad I saw it, though ... and the Barrier ... and the top of the Shard lost in the clouds :)

Are you still cat-sitting KC? Any more London adventures? Is your phone working properly yet?? And did you investigate Team Profit??

So many questions! :o Hope you aren't being rained on as much as we are :o

Hi Cheery :) yep, I'm still catsitting, returning home on Saturday. I *did* have another adventure since my last post, to Osterley Park - easy to get to, but a *long* way to walk, I've been hobbling a fair bit :o The winter exhibition had some lovely things in, and a few rooms were open to house the exhibition. And I always admire a walled kitchen garden :):):)

The phone - I think it *is* working :j and exactly because I rebooted it as advised :) I'm very happy.

Team Profit - no, I didn't :o I really need quiet and space to do something like that. Here, I'm lolling quite a lot on a full length sofa, which is very quiet, but not when the cats are jumping on and off me as their heart desires, or staring at me so I'll open the wet food pouches earlier than I should :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: it's not conducive to what I need :p Probably next week.

I meant to go to the Design Museum today, to see the Moving to Mars exhibition: I was a member of the Mars Society for quite a while, its what took me to Canada originally, but I've been on the phone for a *long* time this morning :o for various reasons, and my brain doesn't want an exhibition. Especially not two, which is what I was going to do, so I'm switching things around and going to JL at Sloane Square to change back my currency from the cruise, and do a bit of sightseeing there. Tried to do that when we went to see Tutankamun, but their computer died on them. We'll see today!

Quite annoyed with the tfl website. Sloane Square is one bus ride from me: but its advising me to get a bus, a train, and a tube. Silly, but I'm lucky that I know the journey.

Will post an update - I might feel the urge to look at Team Profit tonight, actually, i.e. I *want* to look at it tonight, the cats don't care about me once I've fed them :D
