I just went out to clip a bit of ivy

This made me think of Margot in The Good(e?) Life, helping harvest the runner beans (?) by walking to the plant and picking them one at a time to take each one back to the bowl :rotfl:. Well, I know what I mean!

Hope you've managed to stay coolish...

Wow KC - you are right to stay inside - it's been oppressively hot today - we have every window & door open for the occasional cross-breeze & are very thankful for our solid two foot thick walls! A bit of a cave when we keep the curtains drawn but lovely to battle the hear of today!

I just checked the weather forecast for rest of the week & looks like temps in our southerly part of the UK will be 10 degrees cooler! YEAH - a lot more bearable :D
I envy those walls :rotfl: and I'm *so* looking forward to that drop in temperature. Right now, it's 21 degrees, so the coolth is starting tomorrow morning :)

:rotfl: I love it :rotfl: I sometimes carry myself like Margo, I confess :rotfl: it's all those years of ballet. Though I'm naturally a navvy :D so as usual, slightly schizophrenic :p

Ooh, I want a rainbow! Nothing here at all, just heat.
I did bits of tidying in the house, and the computer, and the garden, all about coping wtih the heat. Roll on tomorrow :)

    :hello: Morning!

Just starting to catch up with myself - while the dw is on, cleaning a plastic shoebox that I managed to empty, dehydrator's ready to use again (sweet peppers stained the plastic, gah!).

Today, I'm going back to green leaves from the garden, for my winter pesto :) plus I'm currently doing SB and backing up the laptop, new pix and downloads etc. I want to do a bit more gardening, but I'm out tomorrow, so I have to be aware of energy issues, going out and having fun is more important than half an hour in the garden. Not sure what else, but there'll be something :)

Much cooler, thanks! I'm still in a sleeveless T, so it's all very pleasant :) though I got very little sleep. Should do a lot better tonight though.

My diary was on page 2 of my subscriptions :j yes, it really is a good thing - a lot of my financial admin is done, I realise!

Still a fair bit more to do, of course: two Regular Savers to set up, that need branch attendance; tax declaration for the last year, then the French tax declaration. Fencing renovation, finishing off the high level garden weeding, those things are important too, to maintain my investment in my property.

Then it's about getting the house and the garden to a fair standard, health and fitness, and also starting a craft/ patchwork/ knitting project, finally :):):)

Plus, woo hoo, a social life - I had a few hours out today, blissful to be with people. More of that :j

Ooh, how lovely :j Have you been to visit a tourist attraction or cafe or something today, or was this just about social visiting?

I wonder if any of us will ever get to the state where there isn't anything financial to do?? :rotfl: :rotfl:

We went to an Iron Age fort, just sitting in the open countryside, available to climb to 24 hours a day... splendiferous views across the Channel, and all the way to the next county. Talking is quite difficult while climbing, however :rotfl: so a cafe was important too :D

I certainly don't think any of us will get to the point where there's *no* financial admin - but getting beyond crisis management and catching up with myself would be lovely
