I'm a mix of trying to get things done, and trying not to do too much - balancing energy and rest, when it changes continuously, is v annoying :) Still, cut back lots of brambles, tidied things away.

**Amazing** view of the garden this morning - the bit of patio I'm clearing is still a bit dusty, and there were more than a dozen sparrows using it as a dust bath, then popping up a foot to the upturned water butt rest (which is full of algae-ridden rainwater :o). They obviously loved the whole thing, they were *so* happy!

Still doing the balancing energy thingy, and still hoping I'll see that number of sparrows on the patio :) I'm not doing too much because of the heat, but that in itself makes sleeping difficult. I've carried on with 20 minutes a day of gardening, though - no navvying yet!

I managed to get to my sister's, and saw the work of the fencing guy, which is very good, so my gardening is currently aimed at getting access to the fency bits that need attention - one fence panel is flapping .:o and the trellis piece that belongs on top has disappeared to the other side. The whole thing is obscured by a mix of buddleia, blackcurrant, cotoneaster, rose, brambles and general weeds including the ragwort :o:o:o This is the main bit left untouched on that side, though I see the nettles are competing with it once again.

Off to the healthy walk in 20 mins or so - even if it feels too hot to walk, I'll go to the start to say hello, as I met a member by chance when I was waiting for the bus last Friday.

mse activity - catching up on recent certificates and forms on the free ancestry weekend :)

Absolutely :) I went along, but I turned back home as they started out, it was *very* hot. Blinds are drawn, windows are open, HFW is doing his thing on tv... life is good :)

Morning! I'm trying to get back to normal a little bit, even though its still *really* hot. Started well - my next door neighbour put his green bin out at 7.15 and woke me (fortunately!) so I put my other neighbour's green bin out from my property (they won't take it from mine, as it doesn't belong to me :) ) and I loose filled the top half with my own green waste, as was offered. I was going to do more after I'd had a cuppa tea, but the binmen came, so that was that :D

Doing SB in the background, but now I've got the points to claim an extra bonus, I'm not trying as hard, I'll only take the easy stuff, I want to move on to matched betting again, and in the tidying I've been doing, I found a list I'd made of some of the bookies I'd joined, with details. So thats a start.

Otherwise - wm is on, it's about tidying inside or outside the house, or cleaning, or doing more paperwork sorting, I might find more matched betting details :) Still really hot, so I'm going to leave my little trip to the bank till tomorrow, and not do too much today, as I really, really want to go out on an arranged trip on Thursday. I just watched a Matt Smith clip of Dr Who, the Vincent Van Gogh one, and as the song says, "Take all your chances while you can" ... huh, turns out its a band called Athlete - good for them.

Good grief it's hot. I just went out to clip a bit of ivy, and its like going into a sauna. I thought I might be overdoing the heat protection thing ... turns out I'm not :rotfl: and the Met Office say it'll be at its hottest between 3 and 4 this afternoon. I think I choose paperwork and tidying up website logins :rotfl:

Wow KC - you are right to stay inside - it's been oppressively hot today - we have every window & door open for the occasional cross-breeze & are very thankful for our solid two foot thick walls! A bit of a cave when we keep the curtains drawn but lovely to battle the hear of today!

I just checked the weather forecast for rest of the week & looks like temps in our southerly part of the UK will be 10 degrees cooler! YEAH - a lot more bearable :D
