Good news that its done finally, I know you'll want to get on and sort it all but I guess you can take your time now?0

Thanks both!
As for taking my time, teapot, I can and will, but I want to wash the floor in there, just wiping down, and I want the furniture back in there - the kettle, microwave, dining table and chairs. The oats for my daily porridge. The rest of the house is still in chaos, and I'd love to sort some of that.
The porch is still in chaos too: I need to clean the little alcove where the phone can sit safely, without the wire going underneath the doormat. It will sit on a lovely solid wood stool I have, which will need painting eventually (but not now! I *can* take my time over that) though there are two boxes of tiles to go back to Wickes. I might take my shopping bag off my shopping trolley, and secure them with bungee cordthough again, not today.
Today's list, 8 items, 1/8 already done:
- washing machine (done, and washing is out on the line)
- dishwasher
- clean kitchen floor
- clean bathroom (now the workmen have finished using it!)
- nuke my sweet potatoes, as agreed with Suffolk Lass
- take ornaments to charity shop
- buy some veg while I'm in the locality.
- email lovely Norfolk rellies, who've just got back from the States.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Today's list, 8 items:
- washing machine done
- dishwasher done
- clean kitchen floor done two thirds
- nuke my sweet potatoes, as agreed with Suffolk Lassdone
- email lovely Norfolk rellies, just back from the States. done
Plus furniture and assorted small appliances have made their way back in. Realise I have to experiment with where things go - already moved the kettle so its more convenient, that feels good.

I'm currently researching recycling of electrical goods (there's a *lot* of wires I haven't thrown away too, and free headphones from my last transatlantic flight which was ... um ... 15 years ago? Dear me. Apparently you can take things in to a Curry's, free of charge. I can drop the ceramic cats off at the charity shop at the same time, then have a play the next day. I really need to stop and relax

I think it's the WEEE regulations for electrical goods, does your council do free doorstop collections? Ours used to, but government cuts...Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)
