Morning Karma! Sounds like you had a productive day yesterday. Totally understand where you're coming from - especially about planting the already-bought plants and using the chippings etc. - in previous years this was definitely me (I'm not sure what has changed!).

Hope you have a good day today and enjoy the sunshine - are you off anywhere nice?

Morning! Yep, yesterday was really productive in the end :) Today, erm, slight delay in taking off, but I'm just going to go shopping for jeans/ trousers in the end, at the shopping mall type place ... I'd been thinking of a touristy day out, but looking at my (lack of) clothing has persuaded me otherwise :o :rotfl:

Well, I'm back again (I sound like a hobbit, saying that!). I stared at Primark, I stared at Debenhams, I came a little bit to life at Next, and that was that. I couldn't bear it! I loathe shopping :rotfl:
What I *did* manage was to go to a couple of small furniture stores - I need a 2 seater sofa, to replace the one sent to the tip, and I need an armchair with a long back to replace this Ikea thing thats crippling me. The sofa is fairly so-so, there are several that are good enough, though I'd like to get something I like.

But the search for an armchair is awful, everything with a long back looks like a wing armchair your granny used, or like a ball of wadding that somebody's stuck a bit of cording on. Until today :j
The nice long back (so I can rest my head) has diamond-shaped padding on, and it still looked a bit "old lady" in light green. But the guy whizzed it up onto a four foot computer screen and changed the colours to magenta, with a purple cushion :j:j:jI'll be looking again online with new eyes :)

Plus I found a BM discount store, which I hadn't realised was there - spent a tenner on staples, saved the £3.75 the train fare cost me :j plus I got my eye in on the trousers, and found a way forward with the seating in my living room. Three in one. Happy Bunny :)

You're right, beanie, it was - very satisfying, even though I only got to buy mega bottles of ketchup, posh instant coffee with grounds in, and tins of butterbeans (less than half the price of Sainsbo) :D

I've realised something else - although I enjoy pootling about on the computer, I do it too long in the mornings - so I shall stop today in about half an hour's time.

    So today:
    - carry on backing up the computer, I've been downloading lots recently.
    - SB bits and bobs also in the background.
    - washing machine on.
    - gardening, gardening and gardening!
    - phone brother.
    - speak with sister (her first ever day trip with the WI!)
    - reclaim the bathroom, which I haven't quite finished :o
    - plus I've realised, today is a good chance to defrost the f/f, finishing off the frozen veg, I can get rid of the chunks of ice in the fridge!

    Yes, going well.

    - SB bits and bobs also in the background.
Yes, also going well, in spite of ridiculous goal that I'll never get to.

    - washing machine on.
Yes, its out on the line, plus a shawl that was a pressie for catsitting.

    - plus I've realised, today is a good chance to defrost the f/f, finishing off the frozen veg, I can get rid of the chunks of ice in the fridge!
Yep! Ice in the fridge has all gone, just a question of waiting for it to dissolve from the roof of the freezer now :)

    - speak with sister (her first ever day trip with the WI!)
Yep, she had a really good time.

So, these are yet to do, not bad for 1.30 or so.
    - gardening, gardening and gardening!
    - phone brother.
    - reclaim the bathroom, which I haven't quite finished :o
