    Sounds like you had a really productive day yesterday Karma. I love getting things out of the house, so am feeling your satisfaction :)

    Kitchens do take up a fair bit of room when delivered.... We had to live with ours in our living room - it made for an interesting couple of weeks. Fortunately to start with there was space for construction (Ikea is flatpack, I don't know about Wickes) in the kitchen, and by the time the kitchen was looking tight for construction, there was space in the living room to do it!

    Thanks all! Yep, it was great, and because I'd dozed about for so long, I finished all the "doing stuff" lateish for me, which meant I slept well too :) win-win-win.

    Yep, the crossover between storage-destruction-construction is still giving me a few worries, I may not be able to use my living room at all, I'm just not sure. I don't mind that too much - it was worse than this when I moved in, after all!

    I've figured out a way to store my table in the living room (over some existing plastic crates) so now there's a whole wall in the kitchen that's empty of stuff, all the space in the living room on the other side of that wall (the sofa's gone :j) plus a bit of space in the porch, though that's not much. It should all fit.

    Onwards and upwards :)

    Thanks both :) I was really glad I had to pay for it to be tipped, to be honest, once it was out in the daylight .... it was vile :rotfl:

    And I've acted out the reason today, as well :rotfl: can't be bothered cleaning the bathroom, I went weeding in the back garden instead. Right outside the kitchen window - 3 bramble roots and a bucketful of couch grass roots

    :eek::eek::eek:

    It feels like summer :j:j:j

    That's very kind, apple, thank you - I've kept this one away from the charity shop for now, but you've reminded me that I *think* it can copy ... I'm sure I remember putting a radio programme onto a CD before now. I'll investigate when I'm ready - not for this (which is just me, after all!) but for a lovely filk tape I bought, approximately 3 million years ago (science fiction fans making their own music).

    The main Wickes delivery has been! In fact, it had been by 8.15, went really smoothly, they were really nice. I needed to set my alarm to make sure I was ready for the first delivery option, so I'm shattered now ;) There's another small delivery due, of wall tiles and bark chippings, so I have to stay awake for that.

    You can reach your computer - that's a relief... had visions of you penned into a corner by kitchen units otherwise! ;)

    The joys of multi-tasking :D my blackcurrant bush is becoming more and more clear of weeds, and consequently having topsoil and bark chippings as extra adornments :beer:
    I'm freeeee :D till tomorrow at 8am when the builder comes to measure for the RSJ, anyway :D

    Talking of freedom: being up and out comparatively early made me realise that my shady little space that I'm clearing catches the morning sun beautifully - like 7.30 or so, when it's still pleasant even on the hottest day. I see a few outdoor cups of coffee in my near future.
