Thanks both
no horrendous overnight messages from my cc or my bank people, so it's probably going to be okay. At some stage today, I might try to experiment with an online supermarket order using my other credit card or my (new) debit card, but to be honest, thats not a high priority.
I was going to go to a quilts and crafts exhibition at a huge local exhibition space, but to be honest, even though its warmer today, it doesn't feel right, not after the stress and effort yesterday. So I'll pootle, basically - I actually bought some raw veg recently, and they need using up :rotfl:, there's *always* gardening/ navvying to do, and I haven't touched upstairs in about six weeks ... we shall see
ETA - oh my word. Rather than starting any of the above, I used a few free spins on SB ... and won a proper amount of points, worth about £14, I guess - I'm quite pleased :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well done on the win!
I saw that email from the tv people, via my friend, who put all her details in and they ordered at £45 pizza delivery with her credit card. Bank spotted it straight away and refunded her everything- cancelled the cards.
I can see why it would be stressfull for anyone - awful.
Just catching up after flu pulled the rug away from under me - your kitchen plans sound good.

Thats scary, apparently a lot of people have fallen for that scam. Good that the bank picked up on it and refunded without a fight.0 -
Thanks all! Earthie, sorry you've been poleaxed by the flu - sorry your friend got caught up with the scam too - I wonder where the pizza place was, because that would be local to those individual scammers, wouldn't it? Don't know, actually
Tidying is going apace - started in the kitchen and found a huge bag of riceso its rice for lunch, not gluten free pasta

I had a couple of those scam emails about TV Licensing.
I was on a cruise ship in the middle of the Atlantic at the time, and it seemed very plausible, as I had only paid the TV Licence as couple of weeks before I went on holiday.
I was initially freaked out, but then looking at the emails, I realised it didn't address me by name, and there was no reference number on them that I recognised. I couldn't even do the 'hover' thing as I was on my phone.
However, I decided they were spam, and deleted them
Well done for putting it right so quickly - it looks as if no damage was done, thankfully.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hi Goldie, yep, no alerts from my cc people, so it looks as though I caught it in time. Lesson learned, however!
Today, I'm in the one corner of the country that the Met Office tells us *won't* be suffering too badly, nice for me, boo for everyone else. And the garden bin is being collected on Tuesday, so filling that is a priority, I can't guarantee my lovely neighbour won't need it himself. Too late to finish the laurel - I've seen bluetits hopping about in there, I bet there's some nests starting up, so thats that till summer. Not much left, anyway.
So, garden navvying is the main thing, I slept really well last night, even though my shoulder was hurting, so thats a big win for more physical exercise. Just wishing the garden and the finances were sorted enough for me to pop off on the impromptu holiday to southern climes today ... quite sad about that, but no point obsessing. Get all this sorted, and move forward.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
