Morning! I have badges that may substitute for me joining in .... gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award, and the Head Girl's badge - which is actually solid silver :):):)

A fair bit of ibuprofen is heading my way today, I overdid the sawing on the laurel - some pretty deep down aches are the result, I'm afraid. More bah humbug, but plenty of things can be done instead (unfortunately :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

I know hunny :kisses3: I did my best to catch up with the Guides. But you can't make up for lost time, you can only start from where you are.

Scrambling a bit today, it's a little unnerving when people offer you their seat on the train  what on earth do I look like if they do that?

I remember when (sound like my Grandma don't I?) well-mannered men would offer their seat on a train or bus to a woman regardless of their age. Someone was just trying to be nice to you that's all:)

:kisses3: thanks CBC. The one yesterday was a man, thats true, last week it was a young woman! Even in SE England, serious levels of politeness are not dead :)

Feeling a bit better today, though didn't sleep particularly well, and the first thing I saw when I opened my curtains is another act of kindness. Because I was out yesterday, I haven't yet used the green bin my kind neighbour lent me, I'd just stacked the long branches next to it, and I was planning on cutting them up this weekend, to get as much in as possible. He's come over to my driveway, and done it himself :o the quality of the wine that I owe him is going up and up :o I'm definitely going to carry on reaching out here, and not just relying on family, because really, people are very kind. It's a trait I value.

So today, though, is an indoor day - it's grey and bleak out there physically. Finalise the banking, see to the post (its that twice a week thing!), get the rubbish out for tomorrow, and, tan-ta-ra, find the Christmas cards :xmassmile

That's great that your neighbour is helpful and it's great when there's a feeling of community in an area.
