We had a frog last night in the garden not as fab as your fox or badger though. We could hear in crawling over the leaves in the garden. At least it wasn't screaming:eek: weirdest thing.

earthie - I was stepping back on SB, but they suddenly upped the rewards for some things - I think they realised they were losing people at an unacceptable rate. But you have to be really careful what you do, the rate of return can get exceptionally low.
Wildlife! Yay to badgers and frogs, as well as foxesI know frogs can be very loud in mating season - but wow, hearing it crawling about? Thats a big frog, CR!
Today, well:
- my bonfire went well, so I'll pour out the ashes today onto my special corner where it sits and decomposes a bit more.
- I have a supermarket delivery at lunchtime.
- I need to be brave on SB and use the system to get the slightly higher reward. I mean, its £2 - and this is what SB does, gets you over-involved for really tiny rewards in the scheme of things. Will do that first, no reason not to.
- foggy here, so I'm only carrying on with Project Get Things Clean if the washing line can get some sun on it
- plenty of other Projects: genealogy, cleaning the house, chopping the grass, weeding, even getting the Christmas cards out if I felt so inclined (which I don't!). I definitely feel much better than yesterday morning, so really, I'm happy whatever I do.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks CBC
My SB experiment went well - I went for the £5 card, and because of various monthly things that bear fruit, I'm already within 10 points (ie nothing at all!) of the point where I can claim a £10 Amazon voucher. Which will give me points worth another £8 or so - and I've just "won" another 2 identical vouchers in a stupid spin thing. Expires on the 11th, and if I push a little, I can make the points in the time I have. And so it is they keep people coming back. They don't really want *me* coming back, of course, because I don't spent anything with them, and they pay me this money :rotfl: such are the vagaries of our decaying system :rotfl:
Asda delivery has arrived, minus quite a lot, and quite a few tins badly dented. Impressive that I've already had an email confirming the refund for that.
As I just joined a November challenge on dfw, I shall take myself off for a walk round the block, fresh air and daylight

I've been having Asda deliveries too this past month. I got cashback via Quidco I think for being a new customer and then Asda sent a code for free deliveries for a month. I've been getting my money's worth from that but it runs out early next week.
I've never had much to do with Asda before but I'm impressed by how much shopping I can get for my money:j. We particularly like their own brand baked beans. Unlike some own brands the tin is full of beans not just a few in lots of sauce. I add a dash of Worcester sauce and a bit of black pepper and OH says they're better than Branston beans which we usually have (when on offer of course).0 -
Karmcat~~ I find my Asda deliveries a hit or miss.
Some of the substitues are weird & sometimes things I really need dont appear.

Interesting on the cashback, I didn't know about that, CBC, thanks.
Beanie, the short dates - they told me that the radishes were particularly short dated (3 days!) so they were one of the things I refused - being on my own, eating a whole family-sized tub of radishes at this season just isn't going to happen! I never get substitutions, from any supermarket, because I plan the spends really carefully, so I don't have that problem. But as a result, I have no eggs, for instance, because they didn't have the ones I listed. Ah well.
I had my walk, *and* I cut some more of the leylandii - another session of cutting, and maybe two sessions of chopping upand that will be done till next summer
ETA - I'm ready to get the next SB Amazon voucher! Bit shocked, actually - their videos keep repeating, which earns me points for doing absolutely nothing, so thats fine with me2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

A fox, how fab! Do you hear it barking at night? I just love that sound, it reminds me of living in the country when the kids were little. Happy times:)
Glad felt well enough to get out for your walk xxOriginal mortgage £112,000 . Final payment due August 2027.

Interesting on the cashback, I didn't know about that, CBC, thanks.
It wouldn't have been any use to you though, KC, it was for people signing up for home deliveries for the first time. There's no other cashback for subsequent purchases. The month's free delivery code which came directly from Asda was a nice bonus though especially as it costs me the best part of a gallon of petrol to visit their nearest store:(. That's why I'd never had much to do with them previously. I know there can be minor problems with substitutions and use-by dates but home deliveries for rural-dwellers like me are brilliant:j0
