Thanks beanie - yes, a bit of catching up continued, especially with the hedging - a shrub, the witch hazel tree, two buddleia and the ivy - the pruning continued on all of them. Not a huge amount, but a good 40 minutes or so, that was the mfw highlight - getting light into the garden to help the edibles :)

Council walk! I'm going to be late. More in a bit ...

Oops. As I walked upstairs to fetch my stuff, my body said, "you're not going". I woke up late, I feel tired and "heavy", though fine - and the council walk is still a "should" for me, not an "I like". So I'm going to carry on waking up in my own time, and then get on with the rest of my day. I'm also sort of listening out for news about a planned hospital appointment for a family member, and I'm not keen on being out of range of my landline, even though I'd have my mobile with me. Thats not the main reason, though, I won't lie. I'm not going because I don't want to

So, today, lots of goes on the washing machine, but it can't be out for very long, the plan is to get a bonfire going in the little incinerator.

Sorry to hear that you don't feel 100% but I think you made a wise decision not to go on the walk. Take notice of what your body and instincts tell you. You've come so far on the energy front that you don't want to do anything to put you back to square one.

I hope you get the phone call you're waiting for. I hate waiting for phone calls even more than I hate waiting for parcel deliveries

Take care of yourself. Happy burning.

Thanks CBC - I do too, even though I back out given half a chance, I think it actually was the right decision today.

I hung the first load out on the line as soon as I could (the weather was warm!!!) and my fox was in the garden again, but I hadn't seen him. Poor thing leapt off in a jump maybe two feet high. I'd better sing as I use the back door or something.

So, no bonfire yet, between the fox and the washing, but I've been continuing to chop back the leylandii at the front, and I've been doing SB too - I've got 1000 "free" points on offer if I can push it a little bit, which is about £8 on Amazon, so its worth having. I'm currently on course :)

Just letting lunch digest, then I'll bring the washing in, and go for a bonfire. Wish me luck!

ETA - phone call received, all good :)

How lovely that your fox is such a regular visitor:j

I haven't seen 'our' badger again these past few nights but it's definitely around. OH has cleared up badger poo most mornings:eek:

Great news about the phone call. Must be a relief:T
