Hi CBC, thanks for that (we crossposted because I practically fell asleep over the keyboard
). Yes, yesterday was exactly like one of those awful dreams, you're right! And ineptness is most certainly a word, particularly as applied to Lloyds.
Cats are still happy with me, so all's well that ends well2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm hanging out in the bedroom, sitting on the floor with the laptop on my knee, because the cleaner is here
It's been really hard not to clean everything before she got here :rotfl: though I have emptied all my stuff from the rooms where she works, and all my kitchen stuff is in the fridge. Funny old world.

We were told its their version of identity fraud precautions - we all had to be in the same room at the same time to go through the identity documents.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Oh my! Yeah, that would be a sign of a problem :rotfl:
The things I object to about all of that palaver are that although the staff mostly tried to be as efficient as possible, they kept changing the rules on us about what we needed to bring to the meeting *at* the meeting, for instance, and the repetitiveness of the meetings - we were obliged to listen to a video, for heaven's sakes, and we gave our names and addresses at least three times. The software was antiquated - they were quite openly talking about an "overlayer" to adapt it to what we needed - and no apologies were ever offered, apart from a few minutes when we first explaineid to the first person we met quite how much effort we'd put into getting to the now-cancelled meeting.
I'm still sore today - though some of it is arthritically based, not muscle based, I fear. It does make me think of my ballet teacher when I was a teenager, and classmates would moan about not wanting to do more in the class because they were aching. And we had a little routine then:
Teacher: "you know what to do if something makes you stiff and sore, don't you?"
Classmates: "you do it again!".
And we did :T2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Your OH can join in on here for the rants any time, RT
I've listed what I need to do today, as I'm leaving tomorrow, and that means using the dishwasher and/or the washing machine from the crack of dawn, the programmes are quite long and I don't think I'm supposed to change them:rotfl:
One result has been a very yummy veggie stew - I'm really getting into coconut as an ingredient of stew, never realised what a difference it madeI have some coconut oil at home, and more dehydrated ... don't know if that'll taste the same, but I'll give it a go, nice to use it without extra sugar.

:rotfl:. Apparently it's common for wives to impersonate hubby and vice versa .
Err, I do that. Just chatted with Plusnet this morning as DH. The 1 year line rental amount he paid has been allocated against the bill for usage instead. All this month. Thank goodness I checked!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Ummm - I do something similar - lol

The former Mrs. OH still keeps her married name so when I call about our own bills (which are in OH's name) and ask for things to be changed/clarified, I say yes when they ask if I am "Mrs." OH. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
TBH I'm not anyone's "Mrs." & it irks me to be asked - I'm a person in my own right!!! ...and I'd never ever change my name to anyone else's - SIGH;):o
...but it works a charm and the antiquated attitudes of our utility suppliers & credit card suppliers make our lives easier!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Oh my word
Way back when, I "impersonated" my mother with her bank (to the ATM machine, she wanted a reprint of a missing statement, and she was looking after my dad, better for me to go get it and give her peace of mind). Trouble was, the ATM was out of order, so I went into the bank and talked to a cashier, and the ID questions ask for your date of birth :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: no way do I look of my mother' generation :rotfl:
Luckily, they didn't arrest me - I pointed out I wanted a statement not money, and I wanted it sent to the registered address, not to take possession at that moment. Even at the time, it was quite funny2023: the year I get to buy a car0
