Accessing money in ISA and closed bank a/c

My wife has a bit of money in cash ISA with a building society, as well as a NatWest bank account.
As she's no longer resident in the UK she hadn't touched either for some years, and we found out today that her bank account has been closed.
How do we go about getting back both the money that was in the bank account and the ISA given that without the back account she has nothing in her name the money can be transferred to nor the ability to cash cheques.
Thoughts welcome....
