Morning All
Not raining here at the moment but doesnt look like will be long before it does - probably as school run time.
Normal day today - some housework, some paperwork and lots of ironing. Need to pop to local town to pay some cheques in and get some bits from superdrug (will also treat my self to a lovely mocha coffee)
Egg and chips for tea tonight although I may just have something on toast. Umm cant think of anything else to say so have a lovely day.

Good Morning All
I was awake from 2.40am, but couldn't be bothered to get out of my nice warm bed. I was cat napping from then on until my alarm went off! So another rotten sleep for me!
Toad in the hole for dinner later, been ages since I made it, so I hope to get the batter right.
Still not done the washing, as last night was busy bathing the dog, washing the dogs bedding & the cushion covers. Last night just flew by!
I found the item I sold on ebay, which I mislayed and couldnt find y-day. So that will be posted later after work.
Best be off & take DD to school
Have a good day all
Love Emma xxx
(((hugs to those who need/want them)))

Hey everyone,
I've done nothing yet. Got to work, made a cup of tea and did my pigsback clicks from yesterday. I really must sort out the ebay stuff for sale after work as we could do with the few extra pennies.
Have a good day everyone.Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
Hi all, yay a day off today for me :T . Miserable and drizzly outside though so I'll have a look at the forecast before putting the WM on. Have a loaf in the Panny as I discovered that we had none left in the freezer:mad: , why does NO one tell me when they've taken the last slice out??
Got the house vaguely cleaned through yesterday, got some antibiotics from the doctor so hope they start to work today, had early night but couldn't sleep that well  , kept getting up to dash to the loo. Oh well.
Today I'm going to bake a cake or two for OH who has been prowling about after dinner lately looking for something else to eat. I've been trying to stop him from pinching the 'freezer half' of the evening meals, he's such a piglet he will happily eat a meal for four people at one go:rolleyes: so hopefully a nice stodgy (well they are when I make them) fruit cake will hit the spot.
Hugs to all!

Morning everyone
JackieO - hope you're okay, if you have time please pop on and let us know
PennyPincher - hope you're okay also
Well I haven't been on for a while, my Dad is in hospital (Brompton in London) having IV treatment for 10 days, on his first day in they found out he had MRSA  Hospital don't seem too worried and have said that the media blow it all out of proportion. He's in a separate room and the nurses are all gowned and gloved up before they enter the room, but they're letting him go out for little walks
Anyway, lunch today is last night's leftover fish pie (yummy). Need to get on with some ironing when I get home and some more knitting.
Better get on with it as I'm at work (Shhh!)Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

This stuck a cord with me, although I have to admit I was the 'piglet.'
I've just realised how much money I'm saving by freezing the remaining meals (I always cook too much) instead of guzzling them down when I'm already pogged. Makes such a nice treat for lunches in the month, too.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £58.95/ £250

Morning all,Have had a really terrible few weeks with problems with the children,
concerns about money and health problems
but im hopeing that the worse of it behind me now.
Firstly ive asked a friend to stop coming around.
i know it sound bad but we have a long history.
We met when i had a few friends, did skittles ,went church,a role as treasurer.
And was fairly contented.
She only had her family and work, and was very low as her hubby walked all over her.For a few years we had coffee went town shopping and the kids would mix because of the ages .
i would drive us places in the summer as she had no confedence on the road.I introduced her to skittles ,church,we went majoretting together for the girls
and pretty much had a good time.
She suported me in lisening while i was going though the statementing of my son and the problems of have a lot of children with asd and learning diff,
althought she would allways say it was your choice to have so many children.
But her hubby tried it on a couple of time ,has a bad rep in town and i wouldnt trust him around my dd.but that wasnt her fault just bad taste.
But over the years, ive noticed how gossipy she is ,how she love it when some thing go wronge for people, she first in the line if there a free hand out.
she would drop me if a better offer came along. Two years ago she had a problem with depression tied up in hubby wondering eye and elder dd beening a horrible child(11)Was hiting her mother and oh wouldnt do any thing about it.
At the time i was trying to pull away but in the end i couldnt do it,didnt have the guts not though any heroic thought.
The last two years have been bad my kids dont like her oldest dd with a passion. My dd and oh dilike her oh and wont do any thing social with them if they can get out of it or if there are alot of people there they will!
to many little thing have got us to this point
we bi*ch at each other when she comes for coffee and have started to try a score points of each other about the girls,oh.jobs, hours, wages, hair etc.
Latey i have had problems with my son and i didnt even think about tell her because i didnt want it all around town.she couldnt afford to come to my 40 birthday but did manage to go for a girls night out.
i know then i had a problem
I put her off from coffee on fri and phoned her mon to say i doing some thing and was very nocomital which was the first time i have done this with out a good reason.
she phoned me back after a few minutes and i just said we havnt fallen out, just have not got any thing in commen any more ,we have moved on,and we warnt good together, she didnt seam that botherd just ask if this was a tem or perm thing i said i didnt know.but just give it time, she asked about saying hello when we met
so that it ,i feel reaived, liberated
and have done the right thing for me.
she has lots more friends now ,go out far more than me and should be able to keep it together.
a long story
sad in a way but people change and move on
i dont know why i wrote this just getting it down on screen to read it out to my self

Morning chaps
Not managed to get on for a couple of days so apologies if I've missed anything major.
Had a really naff weekend with friends who argued all the time - won't be going back there in a hurry.
Going to look at a new house later today - quite excited as rental properties in the village are so rare and I really don't want to move DD2 from her school as she's doing so well there - having huge hassles with our current landlord who still hasn't got the boiler fixed since we reported the problem in March  Several other jobs need doing and he says he can't afford it - I've got no bathroom light as the switch is broken and can't open the back door as it's dropped in it's casing - I'm sick of it now as you can imagine.
The new place looks great from the outside, it's £135 more per month than we currently pay but heating costs and a lower c.tax band will save us between £45/£50 per month anyway - much newer house, new fitted kitchen, new bathroom - just hope it's as nice as it sounds....wish me luck.
Had a quick swish and swipe this morning, cleaned the patio windows as they were looking manky and hoovered through - sky is black so won't put any washing going today - all the airers are still full so it might as well stay in the basket out the way.
DH is away tonight so something quick and easy for dinner for me and DD's - jacket spuds probably.
Hope you all have a fantastic day - will report back later on the house if anyone's interested"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
