Hi all,
Long time no posting. New job is ok if a little slow. Nice people and commute is a dream so mustn't complain.
Craft Fayre was lovely and managed a further two last weekend. Didn't buy much as was checking these out to see if my Dmum could sell at them. She said she would email the organisers but hasn't yet and is running out of time for this side of Christmas. I could do it for her but it's up to her - I will provide transport and given she lives 25 miles away and I will do two return journeys I think that's my contribution!
Monthly craft group starts again tonight. I've managed 13 knitted poppies for the church cascade. Will be doing some of my cross stitch tonight along with having a natter!
Hope you're all going well.

Hi all, sorry I've not posted in a while.
Coxy pleased the new job is working out for you, the monthly craft group sounds fun.
Dumpling, any craft is good, its all about enjoyment and relaxation, I crochet and cross stitch.
Well not much of anything stitched here lately, still struggling with the wild Wolf so I've made a start on my friends Elvis stitch. Progress is a bit quicker as its a sepia tone picture by Vervaco, I will take an update photo shortly. It's this oneCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Here is my update photo of the elvis stitch. I have so many things that I need to stitch or crochet but I can't seem to find the time or motivation to do them, I don't know what's up with me atm
On a more positive note it's that time of year again for our wonderful annual christmas card exchange, i can't wait i really look forward to it each year. Coxy are you up for organising it this year?Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Hi all,
Long time no posting from me, sorry. 8 weeks into new (temp) job. Still trying to work out if I like it but tons better than previous job in respect of commute, colleagues and stress levels. I'm there until March or until I find something else.
I managed to complete 15 knitted poppies and they are on display at the church - 800 knitted in total. Looks amazing.
I also picked up my stumpwork embroidery kit last week and did some more of that (the one from my day course at Hampton Court Palace). Shouldn't take too long to finish it but of course I've left the more challenging techniques until the last!! Just need some time but dad is staying at the minute and feels a little anti social.
I'd be very happy to organise a card swap this year if anyone wants to join in. Can you let me know by 15 November by Pm'ing me your address and I'll allocate you someone to send to.
Happy stitching all!

Coxy, congrats on completing the poppies, the display sounds amazing, any photos? I am crocheting and stitching some cards for a charity craft stall atm. I want to get them posted soon so I can make some christmas cards this year, also want to complete Elvis by end of the year at the latest. I'm in as always for the card exchange I hope others join too, its great fun.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0

Hi all,
Almost finished my stumpwork piece - just need to attach the bee wings and I'll share a photo. Also have a photo of the church poppy display to share.
Thank you nmm for the PM, I've also heard from FoS and she would like to take part in the card swop too. Hope to her more from her when she is able.
Did a bit more on Pretty Little London this week (stitched a red bus!). Craft group next week - one week earlier this month as the church room isn't available at the end of the month. So generous of them to let us have it for free, although we do make a donation each term.
Nmm - how is Elvis doing?
Hope you're all going well

Well Coxy and FoS the 3 of us will keep the tradition going :xmassmile I've been working on my card the last couple of nights, it's coming together very quickly. Elvis is the exact same as posted above as I've been crocheting some items for a charity craft stall. As soon as I complete the card i'll be getting back to Elvis.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0

I’m afraid that life events have got in the way of social media This has been a traumatic year for our family Stitching has been a solace at times as I find it calm8ng and relaxing when so much is going on
Yes I’m going to take part in the annual Christmas card exchange. I’ve got all the previous beauties to display again.
If there are only 3 of us maybe we could each stitch 2 cards and all send to each other ? But I don’t want to put pressure on anyone
Elvis looks great I haven’t mastered getting photos from Flickr to here and now Flickr are restricitng their free accounts I may cancel mine anyway0 -
Oh FoS sorry to hear you had a traumatic year, I hope next year will be better for you and your family. I'm happy to send to 2 cards, I too have all my old ones to display again and the bauble wreath I completed earlier this year.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
