FoS, so pleased it arrived quickly and thank you for saying its exquisite, that's a wonderful compliment
Coxy, i'm sure your cards are just as good, I love all my cross stitch cards as I said in the pm I need to buy some of the LED pegs to hang them on, that will really showcase them.
No stitching today as I have been to my first Judo lesson, I managed to bruise my elbow and almost choke out someone so I guess that's a good first day, haha.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Ladies I cannot thank you enough for the cards - made my day DH howled with laughter and said I need to up my game for next year, but I'm going on the premise that less is more! Sorry mine are very plain...
Crochet didn't happen last night so will try again tonight. Work is keeping me too busy to stress about DHs job situation and the fact that Christmas is around the corner. We are almost sorted present wise - I'm off on Friday so will try to finish it off then. Just need to sort food for the five of us and we are pretty traditional so no need to specially order anything.
Sorry I digress!
Coxy xx
ETA judo nmm? Sounds like you had fun Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -
Thank you both for the amazing cards received today, I love the embellishments on them, it really makes them pop. (camera phone does not do them justice)
I have to apologise for mine being a bit largeI really loved the designs and I thought they would fit on a A5 card but when I came to mount them it was too big, if I had crimping scissors I would've cut around the card.
Coxy, Shh your DH your card is far from plain, its unique and hand made :T Me and my OH went to Judo it was great something different, he now wants to buy some mats so we can practice throws and chokes etc :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -

Coxy. I like ve your card I don’t think it’s plain at all. It will be mounted into a coaster when I take down the cards in January so it will be part of my permanent display
Nmm. The led hangers look fab
Thanks both for the exchange. It’s one of my favourite parts of Christmas. I was supposed to be going back to where I used to live to meet up with my stitching friends but I woke up to a boiler that won’t ignite so spent the morning sorting out an engineer, getting the oil filled radiators out of the shed etc etc So I won’t be going and the last meet up of the year so sad about that but can’t be helped0 -
coxy. I showed on Instagram photos of the 2 gorgeous cards sent by you and nmm and someone has asked if I know which design you used for the robin. I said I would ask you No worries if you don’t know I’m not the only one who thinks it’s a lovely card0

FoS, do you have a link to the Instagram, pm it if you prefer just so I can take look at the robin card coxy sent, cheers
Typical that the boiler breaks down on the day you are going out, i'm sure they do these things on purpose, I hope you got it fixed.
Managed to stich some more of Elvis, I love how its big chunks of the same colour, it should come together quickly I hope, latest update photo.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Evening all,
The robin design was from Pinterest. If you search for robin cross stitch it should come up.
Have started my next crocheted blanket as DD has commandeered the one I made earlier this year. This one is striped so should come together fairly quickly. I love the rhymic pace of crochet, it helps my mood no end. Have been full of cold for the last two days but can't take time off as I won't get paid being as I'm a tempDH seeing an agency tomorrow so fingers crossed he will get something soon.
Good to see that Elvis is coming along nmm. I'm starting a wish list for 2019 and Collecting Shells WILL get finished at some point! love the LED clips btw, so cool.

Coxy, hope you're feeling better soon, my OH is full of the cold too, i'm trying not to catch it. I have lots of wool so thinking of making some crochet cushion covers, just trying to find a good design, although basketweave is one of my favourites to do, so simple and I love the texture. Have you seen the Attic24 crochet blankets, so colourful.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
