Fingers crossed about where the weight comes off from.

My legs are now fine - they'd gone a bit chunky and the thighs were rubbing together slightly. The arms had gone a bit chunky and were feeling really tight on one of my "real size" 14 jackets with close-fitting sleeves (still waiting to be able to do that jacket up again though:cool:).

I need to lose a little bit from my face still (to get my nice cheekbones back - though at least the face is no longer blobby). I need it off boobs, stomach and waist still - though the stomach has now gone from "few months pregnant" to "I'm probably the only one that notices it's not flat again yet".

The boobs are "too much of a good thing" for sure when overweight - though, thank goodness they don't look like "a shelf" any more.
  • The awful thing is we can't choose where the weight goes on or off. I haven't got a big bust anyway so would be a shame if that was where I lost it all. Maybe it reaches a stage where it evens out, sort of losing it off in some sort of order. I really don't want to lose anymore, although I've eaten lots at Christmas I haven't put any weight on so my weight seems stable.

My fab thing for Christmas was a gift of a Philip Kingsley set. I have been using an expensive, for me, shampoo and conditioner and was pleased with the results but having used the Philip Kingsley set twice I have to say I'm thrilled with the results. Looks like that is something I will be spending money on in 2019.
  • I've been feeling decidedly un-fab as I have had a bad back over x-mas. I feel okay now.

I did a face mask and put cream on my feet and I wore my dyed red shirt and my black long dress and went for a walk today listening to music on my phone.:)

I'm listening to Pulp, really reminds me of being at uni!:rotfl:

I remember the the song 2000 from when I was a teenager. 2000 seemed so far away at the time and now, 2000 still seems far away, but because it was so long ago.

I have lost over three stone and have only gone down one dress size. Having said that, it has mostly all gone from my bum and tummy, so the baggy clothes I wore then that were tight are now loose and look much better. I was a size 20/22 on the bottom and 18 on the top (although I often had to get bigger sizes in tops to go over my tummy). I am now 18 on the bottom and 16 on top and I wore a nice fitted size 16 top the other day which I thought looked too small over the tummy but my husband said looked great :). So maybe I have lost two dress sizes from the bottom and one from the top .

I think sometimes when you have a lot of weight to lose it can be a matter of body image, you still tend to chose loose clothes because you think that's all you can wear.

I have put two pounds on after three days of too much chocolate, ice cream and alcohol. Because of this I have given a huge box of Thorntons, a large tin of Quality Street and a box of biscuits to the food bank, out of temptation's way. Another tin of nice Scottish shortbread I am giving to my Scottish friend on New Year's Eve for her birthday. They were all Christmas presents, but they make my husband ill with both IBS and reflux, and make me fat, so I am not having them in the house.

Back on the wagon now, I have stopped gaining and now need to get that weight off again as I still have over a stone to lose to get to the target weight I set myself last January.

So my Fabbing New Year Resolution is to lose the weight to get to that target and then consider whether to set a lower one and to re-organise my wardrobe, buying nice clothes that I like, rather than clothes that fit but I might not like :)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
  • :rotfl: at the chocolates. I was given a box of chocolates and didn't quite resist temptation. I could see there were 3 types of chocolate in there - only one of which I'd had before. So I let myself have one each of the two types I'd not tried (so I know what they are like).

I then gave way to temptation and had 3 more. That - to me - is "pretty naughty":rotfl:. I promptly took the rest out of their wrappers and threw them in the rubbish - before I had the chance to be tempted to eat them.

I wanted a couple of glasses of champagne for Christmas - and I could have bought a full bottle for £10 or a half-bottle for £11. Obviously the full bottle was cheaper - but I bought the half-bottle (figuring it must be rather better quality booze - to merit costing so much more per glass). That way - I could have the couple of glasses I wanted and none sitting there in the bottle ready to tempt me to have some more the next day.:rotfl:
