Great gloves, Maman. Nice, cheery and fun.

Well I have had lovely day, starting with my pampering session and then this afternoon I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Going to have a nice cosy evening now.

Btw. I managed to track down the face cream I bought on holiday. My skin really likes it so I'm happy I've been able to find a supplier. Apparently it contains snail drool. :rotfl:

Silvasaver. Your outfit sounds great. Enjoy your night out.

Thank you for your offer Maman - that's kind of you.

But I've been asking my friend in some detail about how things are done and I think it's probably a noticeable number of the songs that are sung in Welsh. Then there was the "killer comment" of her saying they don't use song sheets - they remember the songs. Well that's me out then for sure - as it's all I can do to remember a two or three word name of some place or other if I don't understand it and I can't even remember the names of many of the streets round here (as so many of them are in Welsh). So my idea of giving directions to my house is to tell people to navigate by "local landmarks" instead. Could be worse - as a noticeable number of my visitors still end up phoning me the first time they come here to say that they're lost and ask for further directions....

I think your meant to say turn right by here then it's over by there, boyo! :rotfl:

People I know have given rave reviews of Bohemian Rhapsody LL. Glad you enjoyed it.
  • Lovely gloves Maman, one of my favourite things in winter is a scarf I bought in Sainsburys a couple of years ago. It is about 8 ft long and bright stripes. I love it and if I'm feeling under the weather I wear it indoors as it makes me feel comfy. The best thing was it was after Christmas and they were selling it off and I think it cost me 75p.

LL I was going to ask you to share the name of the cream but I think the snail drool has put me off a bit.

A number of cosmetic firms have been adding snail extract to serums and anti aging creams for a few years now and claiming it as a miracle ingredient. This is the first time I've tried it.

Some salons actually have treatments where they place snails on your face. :rotfl:

Don't mind snails myself (delicious with garlic butter). It's slugs I can't stand. They make me shudder and gag. :o

It's quite a sanitised version of Freddie's life and loves in order to get the PG rating but nonetheless it is a realistic study of the sensitive and complex man behind the star. The actor portraying him is brilliant and the music is of course sensational.

Whilst I was there I also booked my ticket for the Andr! Rieu New Years cinema concert.

Apparently you need a hanky or three. :rotfl: I've not seen it yet.

I must confess I shed a few tears today. Found it very moving.

I have seen the adverts, still wouldn't want to put snail slime on my skin. It isn't a snail thing, it is a slime thing, I can't stand the feel or look of anything slimy. Someone was telling me one day that they couldn't do a caring job as they couldn't cope with toileting an adult. I said I could cope with that but couldn't cope with a runny nose. Funny how we all have things that make us shudder. I've got a friend who can't cope with feet. I hardly ever wear slippers but when she's around I always do as bare feet just make her skin crawl.
