Thought that was it today but DD1 has to work tomorrow so she needs us to pick GS up from school. Ho Ho. Love him to bits but just wish we were that bit younger with more energy.

The evenings are really drawing in here and it was much cooler today.

Good morning, the sun is out here and I have the day off, have to go food shopping but DS did washing yesterday so that's all up to date. They have changed the way staff work yesterday so everyone has a new routine to get use to and it's going to upset a lot of people so it will be interesting when i go in tomorrow to see if anyone has walked out. It's at times like this i am glad i am agency and can come and go as i please.

Morning. Sunny here too but definitely feels a bit chilly.

Indie enjoy your day off.sounds as though there’s going to be a lot of upset at work. Sometimes things need to be changed but if it’s just for change sake then it could be upsetting. As you say now is one of the times it’s great you are agency.

Here DD1 has gone to the hospital for a gynaecological procedure this morning. We weren’t sure if they were going to go ahead but looks like they are. She has to have an anaesthetic so needs at least me to stay the night as she should not be by herself. So another busy day ahead.

Sheils hope you have been able to dodge the rain.

Good Morning,


Had nice journey across middle of Scotland yesterday. Stopped at Loch Earn and then Crieff, neither of which I had seen before. Weather improved for us too which was good! Staying near Dundee now and heading into town soon. Went to see Lion King last night which we really enjoyed. (used Meerkat deals) Meaning to visit the new V&A Museum today. Been watching it being built on previous visits so will be nice to see the finished article. Hopefully the Waterfront is ok now too as a nightmare to get along when building work was happening. They managed to refurbish and extend the Premier Inn at a similar time there too.

We had more bad news the other day , DS1 went back home and split with his gf of nearly 4 yrs. Don't think they were really suited but she was pleasant and DS1 is 36 so time he settled down properly! On the plus note DS3 has lovely new gf (so he says) Hopefully meet her soon.

Yes they did tasters Indie! Cost £12 each for the tour but a nice treat for DH. He had to drink my whisky too although I did have little sips.

Hope your DD procedure goes ok leanfun. My DS got a phone call this morning they have cancelled his endoscopy next week,he wasn't impressed as he booked time off for it but can't be helped. They said the equipment broke down and it's gone for repair so until it comes back he has to wait for another appointment.
Glad you had a good tour sheils, shame your DH had to drink yours as well, hope it wasn't a struggle for him,lol. I am sure your DS1 will find the right girl soon,just sad when they have been together so long.
My DS nad his GF have gone for a picnic today, so have the house to myself for the afternoon. I cut the grass earlier and went out and got some fresh food. Just relaxing now.

Morning. I am still at DD1s but everything went fine yesterday. The nurse said she looked as she had nothing done but she looked a bit pale. She just has to wait for biopsy results. She does seem ok but I think they are being very cautious as she had op for pre cancerous cells years ago.
All her appointments have been very quick.

Indie sorry to hear your DS’s appointment has been postponed. That’s very frustrating. Pleased you had a good day yesterday.

Sheils your break sounds great. I’d be the same as you with the samples bet your DH enjoyed the tour. Be interesting to hear what the Dundee V & A is like. Seen pictures of the outside.
It is hard when our children split up and trying to be there for them. Sometimes it’s for the best.

Yahoo was down yesterday morning but later I found a WEM to say I’ve won a calligraphy set with Good Housekeeping. It’s strange I was trying for SHREk tickets and just entered a couple of other things. I have a friend who has the most wonderful hand writing so it will go to her.

Good Morning, well done on the win leanfun. It looks a lovely set. I came home to a book win but no note with it so no clue which comp it was from.Glad everything went ok for you DD1 .It's nice to hear her appointments have been quick. My DS has a new date for his 9th October so let's wait and see if it happens.
The sun is trying to come here here, and no rain forecast so i have washing to get out.Hope you all have a good day

Sorry to hear your DS has another long wait. Do hope it goes ahead. Yesterday I read your post and thought I still have bed linen to be washed so cracked on and not only washed some, which dried in no time, but ironed it too.

We have a sunny day here,it's warmed up now but yes temps are dropping fast in the night so back to normal now.I have been doing housework all morning, got dinner cooking now as son is off to work at 4. Instagram has banned me till the 10th for sharing my password which i haven't and in fact i changed it last week.I shall go back on after the 10th but if it bans me again for no reason i will give it up as it's doing my head in. I don't post a lot of comps and i try to go in and give likes to all the sites giving prizes.Oh well never mind there are plenty of other sites to visit. We shall see.

Morning. DD2s daughter is starting school this week. Her brother started back last week but their reception classes only starts this week. She’s looking forward to it and has been impatient to start. That means all our GKs are at school now.

Indie sorry to hear you were blocked from Instagram again. There seems no rhyme or reason to it. Oddly enough I’ve been doing less on there and trying to catch up with the board. We have had more success with the daily mags. Looking at the main board I have more crosses than entries but in the past have been successful with them.

I’ve found Instagram interesting and at the very least we have learnt something new. It surprised me how many people are starting up small businesses. I’ve tried to avoid the bloggers. They often club together to attract prizes from companies and that does my head in if there are too many people to like. I think I am going to limit the time I spend in it.
