Morning (just, lol) sun is out today after non stop rain yesterday. DS has won a prize on mag dailys a alfresco eating out prize. He is chuffed with that as it's a picnic basket with a coolbox in and a blanket and some cheeses. As he goes on picnics with his GF it's an ideal prize win. I am off out soon to take DS to his hobby shop for the day then the day is mine as his GF will be on her laptop doing work for her utube channel. I shall try and get on instagram later, fingers crossed it works. Hope you all have a good day.0

Good Afternoon,
Thats me home again. Had a nice day catching up with DS3 and DS2 and gf. yesterday. Looks like grandchild might be here early as they don't seem to want DS2's gf to go beyond 1st Oct as baby is getting big. Has always shown as 2 wks further on. Getting exciting anyway. They have everything bought and organised. DS2's gf still working but thankfully finishing on Friday. Their dog is acting a bit funny and trying to look after her. Wonder if dogs can hear the babies heartbeat as she keeps puting her head on the bump. She loves children so hopefully she will be pleased when baby arrives!
Such a big step when kids start school leanfun.
Great prize for DS indie.
Hope Alfie is ok.
Must get on.

Pleased you are home Sheils. Great to meet up with your sons and Gf. It’s not long now if they are saying 1st October. Pleased to hear she is packing up work. Interesting about their dog. I think you could be right about the hearing.
It’s amazing what they find out from the scans. When one of our daughters had a scan late in the pregnant I went with her when. As we came out I looked at the two pages of report they gave her and saw the diameter of the head was large and blurted out its a boy. They had not wanted to know if they were having a boy or girl. When they had the second pregnancy SIL came home from 20 week scan and said it’s a small head and they had a lovely girl.
Indie well done to your DS. Great prize for him. Love it when you win something you would really like. Hope you all enjoy the cheese. We have been lucky with daily mags recently.
Very dull here again today but not raining. This month seems to be going quickly it seemed to be dark really early yesterday.
Hope al, are well and be lucky.0 -
Glad you had a good visit with your family sheils. I think dogs can hear the heartbeat of babies as when i was pregnant my 2 dogs use to sit next to me and put their heads on my tummy. They seemed to get more protective as well.As leanfun said if it's 1st October it will soon be here. Have they chosen names yet?
DS prize is arriving next tuesday,he and GF are looking forward to it. We love cheese in this house so don't think that part of prize will last long, lol.
Same weather here leanfun, and the wind is getting up so won't be going far today.0 -
Have had a busy day with washing and gardening plus trying to get healthy food cooked after our 9 nights away!
Leanfun I didn't know the size of head had anything to do with sex of baby.
Ds2 would have liked to know if they were having a boy or girl but they don't tell them at their hospital.
Indie they have chosen Layney for a girl but struggling with boys names. They really like Archie but not going to use it as Prince Harry already has and it will probably be really common this year. They are considering Alfie!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Morning, love Layney for a girl. Never heard that one before. Alfie is nice as well. They may change their names as sometimes you can pick a name and then change it last minute, lol.
I recieved another book in post about Romans and it has stickers. From Primary times. Youngest nephew will love it so will put it away for him for christmas.
Weather dull and damp here at the moment but they have said we have a mini heatwave on the way over the weekend. Typical as i am working tomorrow and sunday.
Hope you all have a good day0 -
Morning.
Sheils never heard the name Layney before. Like it though and it’s different. Ho dear I don’t think there’s much to go by the circumference of a babies head and their sex. It’s just that on our GS’s scan it seemed large to me. Looking up there is not much in it only about one centimetre so really it could be either girl or boy. Generalising boys’ head circumferences are slightly larger but not always so. I just happened to be right with that GS. So I don’t think it’s a good thing to go by.
I am very good at putting my foot in it and speaking without thinking first. When we had DD2 a month later our neighbour had her third child. She brought him over and as soon as I saw him I blurted out something like he has a big head. My dear neighbour said something like, well he’s going to be a big man. Yes, 40 years later he’s way over six foot and his head looks small in comparison to his size. Thinking back I was ill at the time and didn’t go out for six weeks after DD2 was born. That’s my excuse. By the way she’s still talking to me.
Indie well done on book win. Sticker books are very popular. Typical you are working with forecast for a hot weekend.
We are off to pick GS up from school today. Childminder is going away for a long weekend.
Take care all and be lucky.0 -
Snap with Indie. Postman just delivered a book from Primary times. This time Ancient Egypt. Great as I’m sure GD in Scotland said that was her topic this term.0

lol, well done.
I am not impressed at the moment as instagram has banned me till the 15 now. I haven't posted that many and i can't find anywhere to complain to about it.0
