Hi Firefly. Thanks for the pics great to hear from you.
Agree with you about Alfie’s posts especially the naked gardener. Loved the dawn chorus.

Alfie hope you have a wonderful time tomorrow wishing your DS a great birthday surprise.

We had GS here today. He brought a DVD and connect4 to beat grandad. He’s very good at it and the odd occasions he looses is very upset. Lots to learn.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day tomorrow.

I was freezing in bed last night and it's not much warmer now.I got up and added a blanket on top of quilt last night then went back to sleep. The sun is trying to come out so may warm up a little later.I was at work yesterday but have a few days off now.Hope you all have a good day.

Yes I am better thanks - lasted about 3 days but managed to go out and about not too bad, was just a bit weak.

Been busy getting the washing up to date but nearly there now. As DS3 had been here up until we left there was his bed and things to do too. DH has got all the grass cut before it gets too long and hard to do.

We are having a buffet style celebration here on Thursday for DDs 21st so will be another busy week. Her bf has had his passing out parade and is now set to be a full time fireman but has nearly 3 wks off first which he will appreciate after a 14 wk course and living in a hotel through the week.
Their dog will appreciate the extra walks and attention and it will give DD more time to finish her Uni course and placement.
Weather has been ok here although it has been really cold at night - heating on. Everything is pretty dry, though some rain forecast for Wed and Thurs I think.
    Wishing everyone a lucky week.

Ho Indie your comments about naked gardening made me smile. Enjoy your time off.

Sheils lovely cup of coffee. Always need one to get me going. You are going to be very busy this week. Well done to your DDs BF I expect his course was very strenuous. Your DDs birthday is so near exam time. Last one this year.

We have still been preparing for SIL she arrives on Friday for ten days. She’s the youngest in their family and two years older than me. She lives in LA. She still works part time and at present is working at a conference in North Carolina.

It’s been cold here too. Let’s hope it warms up soon.

    Good luck everyone.

    :hello: Hellooee

Hope you've all had a lovely day. :) I had a brilliant time
yesterday. :T  The 10 carriage train to Waterloo was
almost empty, bet it was heaving today with everyone back
    at work!

Lincolnshire based family had actually arrived the day
before and took the little girls for a bit of sightseeing etc,
5yr old was fascinated & little'un just happily went with
    the flow! :grinheart

Met up with them in Covent Garden, had a wonderful time
browsing round all the quirky shops. The place was
absolutely buzzing. Stopped to listen to a very talented
young musician playing the guitar & singing outside the
London Transport Museum. Unfortunately, we didn't have
the time to go in the Museum, so decided to visit it on our
    next London meet-up.

Son's face was an absolutely picture when he & his lovely
French girlfriend walked into the restaurant and he saw
all of us there. :T _party_ :rotfl::rotfl: My daughter captured
the moment on video. He was really chuffed, very happy
    memories for all. :D

We're all off to France in the summer for a short break too,
starting with Disneyland Paris. Really looking forward to
    it. :j

Nearly forgot, daughter & GDs had a great view of the
Flying Scotsman today on the return school run, as the
    train was passing through Lincolnshire.

Have a brilliant time re your DDs 21st birthday celebrations
this coming Thursday sheils! :j _party_ Hope you all have
a wonderful day. Also very well done to her bf on his passing
    out parade. :T

Have a wonderful 10 days with SIL leanfun. :) I actually
won a family holiday to LA years ago. We had a fabulous
time with the kids, it was Halloween & really buzzing. All
the streets were closed for a monstrous people party! The
    costumes were spectacular!

Lol indie at your comments re naked gardening! :D :rotfl:
I agree, far too chilly, brrrrr! :p Did you manage to get out
gardening today? I was out in the garden this afternoon
pottering around - apparently rain 'may' be on the way
    tomorrow. pluie07.gif

Have a lovely evening all, take care.

Alfie so pleased to hear you all had a memorable day yesterday. I can just imagine your DSs face. Brilliant. Happy memories. Your older GD will remember. Covent Garden has so much going on in a small area. I have not been in the transport museunpm but DD1 takes GS there and he enjoys it.
Great you have the French trip in the summer to look forward to.

Will be taking that train journey in reverse Alfie with SIL next Wednesday to visit DD2 and children.

I have never been to LA but the rest of the family have at different times. I never had any inclination to go to America but did go to Cleveland twice when DS lived there with his family.

We are nearly ready for SIL coming. Room is ready. She was here four yours ago.

Really dispair with traffic here. DD1 phoned to say she had to work late could we pick GS up from childminder. Sounds easy but twenty minute journey took an hour. By the time we had called in a shop with him and home DD1 was home. We came straight home took thirty minutes. We were out nearly two and half hours.

Morning, wet and windy here today. It's been raining all night so garden has had a good soak. Glad the meal went ok Alfie. I am sure your son will not forget that birthday in a hurry.
The traffic sounds horrible where you are leanfun, i think it's getting worse everywhere nowdays.I won't travel far to work as know at the times i start i would be stuck in traffic for ages.
I am off out food shopping later but have nothing else planned for the rest of the day. Hope you all have a lucky day.

    :hello: Hiya

Same weather here indie, rained through the night, absolutely
chucked it down this morning yet surprisingly the afternoon has
    been lovely.

Agree with you about garden getting a good soaking, will
do it the world of good - also all worm/bug eating birds have
been out, pecking all over the lawns to get their grub. :D

My lappy's been playing up big time today, it's taken ages to
fire up, then keeps telling me the MSE site doesn't exist, :rotfl:
(or words to that effect :p) & also 'there's no internet' when clearly
there is because I've been using my iPad with no probs. Ho
    hum, such is life! :rotfl::rotfl:

Brilliant prize for younger GD leanfun, very well done! :T :j

Also many thanks for helping me with directions (once I
reached Waterloo Station). :A They were a great help & once
I got going there were also plenty of signs pointing me in the
right direction. I went via Waterloo Bridge & came back via
the Golden Jubilee bridge with DS & gf leading the way. Only
took about 15-20 mins to walk.

Re America, we're all Disney fans in my family, used to love
taking the kids to Florida for annual family hols (for 2-3 weeks).
We spent an awful lot of time in Disney World & also took off
down to the coast too. Think son must have been about 2 yrs
old & daughter 5 when we first went & then we were totally
    hooked!

    WaltMickey.jpg

Daughter & son-in-law have happily carried on the family
tradition & they've also started taking two GD's there, who
immediately fell in love with all the Disney characters. I think
we're booking a Disney breakfast with the characters, when
    we go to Disneyland. :j

I'd best get on with some comping now. :p Have a lovely
    evening all, take care.
