Morning folks. So far Hector has produced no more than rain and a bit of a wind. But it is gaining pace now. Trees in courtyard are bending a bit and the branches on the trees accross the road are really blowing. It is not cold though. did not have to switch heating on and give house a quick blast. Leanfun glad your GS had a nice birthday and GD loved her present as well. Never had toothache (touch wood) so glad yours has gone. I need a few things from shop (bread, carrots and onions) so DIL is going to drop in when she takes GK's to school. Hope everyone is well. Leanfun hope your DH's shoulder is getting a bit better.

    Good Morning,

Wind still pretty bad here but the rain has stopped. Managed to sleep ok and DH slept until 8am so didn't bother him either.
DD got home from placement last night and has made it back this morning. She had Monday off as exam on Tuesday so has to make up hours so doing ridiculous shifts.

Glad tooth ok leanfun but hope you will see about it incase it comes back!

Great DIL can get your shopping rose.

Sounds like you will be busy Alfie.

Been playing the Quidco game and have finally got to £20 .
Hope everyone has a lucky day.

Just got letter from lawyer he has received statement from police re accident so he is forwarding everything for compensation claim. Just got court case to wait on now. No date as yet. If I get anything it will be banked/invested for GK's. I hope they throw the book at him he needs to learn a big big lesson. Other guy who was racing with him seemingly has been bragging that at least he stayed on the road. If I ever see the one that hit me and other man outside of court and he is free god help him.

Morning. Sheils glad you slept through the wind and rain and DD has safe journey last night and today. Sheils I will phone dentist DH now has. I had one who acknowledged my phobia and was great with me but he retired early.
Sheils well done on the quido game that is really good. I did not join that but have started the stupid humming bird again.

Rose great your DiL is shopping for you. DH stilll has a lot of pain and difficulties. Trouble getting out of bed today and was awake a lot in night.

Alfie you sound very busy. Days will go quickly with all your extra visitors.

Big hugs to Firefly, thinking if you.

Hope the storm is not too bad.

Rose just saw your post pleased the claim is going through. It might be different in Scotland but where we are court cases can take ages to come up. That is terrible about the one bragging. Totally agree with you they really need the book thrown at them. Just pleased you survived and have the perseverance and ability to be mobile again.

I have been told that man who was also hit and was a bit worse than me is back in hospital for another op. We were both in same trauma ward and he was in some mess. Not that I wasn't but his injuries were also internal. Don't know how long it will take to go to court leanfun. Lawyer reckons 6 to 12 months.

Goodness I shouldn't laugh but wind has really been gusting for last four hours and neighbour has just gone on a flying run past my window and he is no lightweight. DIL stopped right at my kitchen door and did not use parking space so that she could just get right in. She was saying that when she parked at Asda she went in to a disabled space so that she was not blown all over the place. She has a badge on her car for taking her gran out but does not usually use these spaces when she is not with her. even at that she was blown in the door and had a fight to get back to car. ( she is only little 5 foot and weighs about 8st)
