Another 'bikini babe' here!:D
I've always worn one as my body is long and I find a one piece uncomfortable.
Great to see losses coming in so early in the year. Well done all!:T
Interesting comments about the porage. I always have golden syrup on mine. I already add extra syns for oats as DH always gives me more than a HEB so losing a few syns would be helpful. When all the syrup is used up I might try banana.:)
Welcome catty. Your target for a year is very doable. Losses vary but I found I averaged about 1.5 lbs a week getting to target.
Just looking at your menu lioness, are you having carbs or just Speed veg?
Being January the TV is full of slimming programmes. I watched the one last night and didn't find it much good. Someone following a no carb diet which she hated and lost very little. Tonight might be better as Tom Kerridge is doing a programme that is supposed to follow NHS guidelines for a balanced diet (although his own weightloss was by cutting out carbs and booze completely). I'm hoping he might have some interesting recipes.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, fried egg, HEB toast, tomatoes, mushrooms, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO pork with stir fry veg and maybe noodlessausage, mash, carrots, fried onions, kale
Syns: sausage 2
I'm going to use the HB gravy so counting as syn free. If it doesn't defrost well then I'll use granules.:)0 -
Afternoon all,
today is going like this so far:
breakfast: hifi light - wasn't very hungry
mid morning - baked beans and smoked ham (free)
lunch: carrot and cauli soup when i get around to eating it
mid afternoon: sweetclem, strawberries, grapes
tea: muscle foods turkey meatballs (0.5 syn each i usually have 3/4 max as they are quite big) in dolmio (3.5 syn) making it a rounded total of 6 syn if i have 4 meatballs. garlic bread for the others, none for me as I'm not feeling it today
evening: 2nd hifi light, maybe a 2 syn options hot choc
hea: milk in brews/hot choc
heb: hifi lights
I have a good feeling about this week. trying to stay positive until weigh in tomorrow. got a buffet to contend with tomorrow lunch time but I'm going to bring my soup to work still and focus on resisting the buffet unless crudit!s/fresh fruit! check my willpower out************************************

More people than usual turned up at SW this week,as expected.:) But its going to take work getting the group back up to scratch. Our consultant was about 8 lbs over target when I joined in May,and never did get back in,going up to 13lbs over.:eek:Never encouraged anyone to do any body magic, and generally was a bit scatty.
The final straw for many people was when she was 2 weeks too late booking in the Xmas meal for 10 of the members !. Some people had bought new clothes for the occasion,so were not too pleased.
Next thing we know she had got a new full time job so needed someone to cover our afternoon class,so for the last 6 weeks we have had 3 different consultants. At least it was interesting to see their different styles.:)
Now we have a new young lady, just starting out, very nervous and voluble, but very enthusiastic about the new little book we got last week.Almost no one had one because only 3 people had turned up for group last week the last day for the old consultant. What do you expect on Boxing Day? I attended the Thursday group so I had mine.:)
The old consultant packed up a couple of days after that, sold all her stock and scarpered. Now this rookie has agreed to step in for a couple of months, but they are looking for a permanent group leader.
All a bit irritating. I remember the wonderful consultant we had way back when I first joined in 2003.She was brilliant, and when I joined was beautifully tanned from a junket she had gone on in Florida as a reward for her great work. She was inspiring and fun and the classes were always packed. Now it looks as if probably 70% just weigh and go.
So what are your consultants like,people?0 -
Nope, i mentioned Wiz last week , last i knew she had pneumonia but that was along while ago
If you click on her profile it will say how long ago it's been that she was online

Hello all - well done on the losses! A sneaky peek on my scales show I'm up 1.5 from my last weigh in (but that was Thursday the 28th and that was just before the weekend and new years (which is hubby's birthday) so we celebrated quite a bit (he turned 60 - I was his child bride lol!!) so I'll work hard for at least a maintain or maybe a wee loss if I'm lucky (great start to the challenge lol)
I hope this isn't too much information - but as people are talking about this year being a year of self love and improvement (and we were talking about boobs too lol) - I was hoping to talk to the doctors about maybe seeing if I can go for a reduction - I have really big boobs and even though losing weight they're not really getting any smaller - also (sorry!) I always seem to have a rash on my bra line - I have done everything to try and resolve this - I make sure I shower every day - I've tried all sorts of lotions and potions etc but to no avail. And they make me feel bad about my body image.
Thing is I don't know how to start this process - our doctor's are particularly hard to get through to - you phone a receptionist who takes your details and a doctor will (mostly!) phone you back - in the past for something female and sensitive I would just have requested a lady doctor and would have waited a while but would have been able to see one. Any suggestions??
Anyhoo...food was on plan yesterday - I did add a ham sandwich to go with my yummy soup...I normally struggle with the HEb - I don't really want to eat too many carbs (bread) and I can't tolerate the HiFi bars - they give me very, very bad indigestion and wind!
Food for today:
B: 2 bacon medallions, 1 large vine tomato roasted and two eggs
L: the last of the LO veggi chilli (so nice!) with rice - with a green applesalmon fillets with roasted red pepper sauce, veggies
HEa will be milk in tea - I only take a splash but I do love my tea
HEb - none decided yet
Syns - there's a bit o' wine left in the fridge so I'll probably have that.
Exercise - I'll probably have to walk home as hubby is going to the gym and son who normally meets him there has the flu so he can't get a ride home with him so I'll give him the car and hoof it home - which is real commitment cos it's Baltic here!0 -
So what are your consultants like, people?
Ours is lovely - she's very motivational and down to earth - she also struggles with keeping at target - but that seems to be a theme! But she never lets it get out of hand and is very honest. She has lost 6 stone.
There is a good social group - my daughter and I have helped out a few times - we always stay to group now as we sort of feel that the people who stay are friends now - or we're getting to be friends. When we went to group after Christmas (and got the new wee booklet) she gave us a big hug when we were leaving.0 -

Mine is absolutely brilliant. Really supportive and encouraging. She is really up on her SW knowledge. Encourages sharing of ideas and recipes.
She is the best consultant I have ever had out of all the SW and WW ones I have known over the yearsThanks very much! I'd like to lose 7.5 pounds/3.5 kg over the next 8 weeksdawyldthing wrote: »A few might drift from Facebook as there was a thing on slimming world the other day and I said a few on this forum do it so join us if you like (as I enjoy being part of this community and do learn a lot from you all). My GP prescribed Cetraben emollient cream for a rash under my arms (allergy to a specific anti-perspirant).
I use this on my under-bust rash when it breaks out and it clears it up pretty quickly.0 -

I have no problem with topics like this. Those that don't want to talk about it can skip past it.
I'm rather well endowed up there too, and they are not shrinking with weight loss at all. Totally with you on the rash, especially in summer, but I find talc works for me.
I have spoken to my doctor about it (female doctor, waited longer to get an appointment with her), and I explained all my issues. Soreness, bad back, difficulty exercising, etc. and she was very understanding. She has said that when I am down to nearer a healthy weight that she will refer me if they haven't shrunk. Don't want to go too small, but a nice flat G or H cup would be nice.Zebras rock0
