I don't go to classes as I don't think I could get weighed in front of people, but someone I know from the pub went to classes and lost a lot of weight and several friends on Facebook are friends with the leader so I think a few do slimming world. I got the books off eBay but it prob is cheaper to go to class once, get the books then do it at home if you don't want to go to class.

I know the white weight watchers wraps are hexb but anyone know what the seeded ones are? As went to Asda the other day (was shocked there only 70p ATM btw) but only had one white wrap but several of the seeded but have to say they are lovely but don't know if they are hexb. They say there high in protein and have seeds in so I'm not sure

Welcome to the newbies (not sure if some of you found it through the Facebook post I said on one of slimming worlds posts the other day as I was a bit cryptic but said to look on moneysavingexpert but under the health section so might be). It's surprisingly easy to follow, just need to follow the book and a couple of Facebook groups as between the lot all the info comes through them.

Well done Katheryna and all the other losers this week btw. Have read them all and liked them but my brain is like a sieve so can't remember them all.

Someone said there tired all the time - might be worth getting your thyroid tested as that's how I found mind was wrong as I couldn't function as I was tired all the time. Being on the right meds now help thankfully

  • I've been looking at the SW ready meals in Iceland; thought it would be useful to have a couple in the freezer. Are they all Syn free? Do they taste OK? Anyone got any recommendations or preferences?
  • I like the chicken tikka and chicken saag ones. Spicy but nice.
I've just bought the lasagnes to try but haven't had them yet. A lady at my group said the beef one was very filling, cheesy tasting and quite peppery. She also said she would definitely buy it again.
They all seem to improve if cooked in the oven rather than microwave and I have also plonked the frozen currys into the slow cooker so that they were ready when we got home.perfect with ding ding rice.

original consultant that got me to target was great - firm but fair and very knowledgeable.

second consultant I didn't stick around long. She came across as not caring too much as long as you were there to pay.

consultant now; I could take her or leave her to be honest. she's lovely and relatable but I think sometimes she sits back a bit and acts a facilitator but not a leader - letting the group respond to questions rather than her adding any response whether its from sw or from herself. She's got social anxiety issues and I often want to sweep her up and give her a hug then be a friend but at the same but them I'm scared I'd scare her (social anxiety issues myself) or break her as she seems so fragile!

I will be moving to another consultant from next week/end of my countdown depending on how it has to work purely for convenience and so that I can get husband and child fed at reasonable times and still attend the choir rehearsals should I choose to stick with them :)

trying to resist a treat sized curly wurly (until later at least) so I've had a free yogurt (danone light and free) and another coffee. Should nibble on my fresh fruit really but its not as comforting ha. may have my second hifi

I don't think they are a HEB and they come out at 7 for each wrap. :( You could always give it a try though as I'd be surprised if the food values are that different.

Thanks for the info denise. I thought she couldn't be at target so that explains it.

I've only tried the chicken curry (jalfrezi I think) lioness. It was OK but a bit watery. It was free but I much prefer Aldi's Lamb Rogan Josh at 1.5 syns.

No diaries/notebooks in the Card Factory locally poohsticks.
I'll have to try the bigger one in town or somewhere else. I'm still starting my diary properly tomorrow though.

Putting the wholewheat noodles through the calculator comes out at 1.5 syns a 150g portion which is higher than it used to be but I'll go with it to make sure I keep within the limit. Having enjoyed my lunch so much, I think I'll start working through the packets of savoury rice and couscous that I never seem to use. It'll be good to have a change and DH quite likes the rice too.

Yes, we like the chicken tikka one, which is nice and spicy - far less hassle than making it youself.

Last time we went in they were 2 for £5, instead of £3 each, whcih I think is quite good value - so many curry ready meals include the rice but these don't, which is what we prefer.
