  • Well it seems my grumble on the phone in person to the BT pension people paid off. :j

Got my figures through this morning. :T

Considering i was at BT for just under 4 years, Im quite happy with what they are offering.

One of the options gives me a lump sum and then an annual payment which works out around £50 a month.

The lump sum is enough to pay off a small credit card bill (Our only debt beside the mortgage) and leave us with around £3000 which I would overpay the mortgage with.

Does anyone know offhand. I am on a fixed deal at the moment for another 2 and a bit years. I am allowed to overpay 10% but would this drop my payments straight away or would it wait till the fixed deal was to end? I guess I should ring Nationwide and see.

  • Pretty dire day today money making wise. Made 10p on citizen me. On the plus side I managed to have a day in the city with my wife (who kindly treated me to lunch) and I haven’t spent a penny all day. This is a miracle as we would usually go for a Starbucks coffee and cake and spend money on things we don’t need. Had a lovely day as well despite the bad weather. Hope everyone else is having a fun and cheap weekend!

Happy New Car, Lynne:beer: (not that I'm advocating drink-driving of course;))

I know you told us ages ago about your interview for the new job and then about getting it. Congratulations:beer:. My brain has been all over the place lately and I can't remember if you mentioned when you are to start:o. It must be a really exciting time for you and DH and it will be lovely for you to be nearer your DS:j. Is it a permanent move or is the job seasonal? I hope we won't be losing you from the thread for good:(
We are still awaiting news as to when we will start, and confirmation as to the actual site. It's a seasonal job, but we are not planning in coming back to the UK.

We are hoping, fingers xd it all pans out, that we will be able to get somewhere in Spain to rent for the winter and then work again next year. It's all a bit in the lap of the Gods, so as to speak, but we are now starting to feel a bit more confident and excited.

Sorry to be the bearer of sad news - but you won't be getting rid of me that easily :rotfl: I would miss you all too much and, if it all works out, hope some of you might come out to see me in the sunshine - you never know :D

Just £3.88 discount from vapour and a £2.50 voucher used in F Foods today

Hope you're all enjoying the weekend and not getting too wet

  • £37.14 made today MB'ing. Definitely my best month since I started this challenge, which is surprising given how quiet I expected January to be.

  • Not made a single penny today :( but managed to find a voucher to get half off my first ocado shop. I’m a vegan so got all the awkward stuff they don’t do at Aldi and got £70 worth of shopping for £37! Not bad. Hope everyone has had a good weekend :)
  • £61.81 for me today. :)

And tomorrow....we go to the dentist. Got a feeling this 'initial checkup' could end up with an extraction :(

Ever wish you could go to sleep and just skip a day. Wish I could could sleep tonight and wake up on Tuesday.

Sorry I've not been around, my time has become limited and as much as I consider coming on here a priority, other things have needed to be 'more prioritised'.

I believe my totals are as follows:

    £144 Temp work
    £3 Pinecone
£20 M&S Vouchers through Media Cell
    £20 Mobile Expressions

And I have cashed out the £8 I had made from TCB last month, and I have £10 in points on Shop&Scan but won't cash that out just yet.
