Can I recover all my lost photos?

For back-up you need three copies, with one held remotely, away from your home.
1 - Keep a copy on your computer.
2 - Get an external hard-drive and copy to that regularly (weekly/monthly).
3 - Keep a copy on a "cloud" service of some sort e.g Dropbox, BT Cloud, Google Drive, Onedrive etc. ....whatever you have an account with.
...don't use USB sticks for anything other than short term storage or moving files, they fail far too often.0 -
Don't try to create another partition Format it again, once you are certain that you have good copies. Then copy lots of stuff on to it to see if it is still working and usable eg copy (not move) then try and open them.
