I really don't like the Butter London formula. I repainted my nails with it last night and one of them chipped later on. Not just tip wear but the whole lacquer peeled off. I repainted this nail and it happened again this morning. Not good.

When I first got into nail polish about 15 or so years ago, there was very little choice in my then rural area, just the ones on the relatively inexpensive cosmetic stands in Boots and some at Clinique and the like in the department store, plus a few beauty salons selling their limited range from OPI or the like.

I used to buy directly from the US, exchange rates were great at the time and they used to arrive really quickly and lots of wonderful makes and colours to choose from, but even back then Butter London had the reputation of having great colours and rubbish wear time, I think I only ever bought one because of this, but would really have expected them to have upped their game in the intervening years:(

A few INs to report, from the 70% off boots sale yesterday.

Does anyone know how long the other soap and glory body products last before they go off?

Me too! Most products have a shelf life of around 2 years unopened, check the codes on here

I have just opened a 500ml pump bottle of Clean on Me and this is within the 24M guideline on the bottle. Will report if the smell/consistency changes.

Isn't the opened pot thing the guideline of how long it will last when opened? It should be fine unless it's gone out of its shelf life...

Another UU but only a sample sachet of L'Occitane Divine Harnony cream. Nicer consistency than the original Divine cream.

You would, particularly when they charge top end prices.

I have a uu and it is my first one from my 5 by Spring list

Avon MagiX Multi Benefit Illuminator - this was one of those clicky pens and I had it in the lightest colour and used it as concealer on dark circles. It is very light, almost white but when blended in it brightened that area and it dried and didn't budge all day. WMBA but I am looking for more natural products plus I have a ton of other concealers.

  • Some more UUs, probably going to be the last ones in January because I've got a lot of big bottles open now.
Cien hand cream - WBA but have lots more hand cream
Snoxin serum - found this on the Boots clearance shelf, WBA if reduced, but it doesn't last very long
Aussie conditioner - a 400ml bottle I got in poundworld before they changed into anyamountofmoneyworld. WBA
  • Another UU - Clarins Hand and Nail treatment cream 30ml - Have a full size one to open yet. WBA but more for the smell and memories (it was the one my Aunt and Grandmother always used) than because I think its particularly special.

That's true. Should use it up in under 2 years. x

Have tried the Artistic Colour Revolution nail colour today called Shred It Up. This has chipped too so there must be something wrong. I have been adding nail polish thinner to my top coat recently. Wonder if this is it? In any case I really don't like the colour and will give this away.
