Nothing really to report from today but trying to get back into the habit of posting everyday. It's been a NSDMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50

Went for a 7 mile walk yesterday, actually really enjoyed it but I need to buy some suitable footwear. I wore an old pair of walking boots but they're worn down at the heel so not very comfy after the first couple of miles. I want to get new boots as soon as possible so that I can start breaking them in so I'll use the money I've currently got saved towards the next electricity bill and replace it on payday.
My car tax renewal letter came through yesterday and has to be paid by the end of the month. It's £104.50 for 6 months or £190 for 12. I've only got enough saved to pay for 6 months so I'm debating whether to pay that and save to pay for 12 months next time or somehow manage to scrape together the £190.
Spends for yesterday were 94p on milk and £15.98 from the social budget. I went out for a work mates birthday but took the car as I'm working today and also to save money.
Right guess I better get moving as I start at 8. Hope everyone haves a good SundayMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Spends for today are £36 on a new pair of walking shoes (reduced from £70
), £4 on bus fare, £22.91 on car service and £8.68 in the supermarket.
Car is now shiny and clean after its service. There was one recommendation and since it only cost £22.91, I decided to get it done today. I've decided to wait until I get my payslip and see how much I'll get paid at the end of the month. If I can afford it, I'll pay the full £190 for the years road tax. If not, I'll pay for 6 months and save up to pay the year next time.
Popped to the supermarket to get paracetamol as I've had a headache all day. Got a few ys items - gf garlic bread, sausages and gf breaded fish and the rest was on rubbish. Generally though I think it is working to take the money out each week and keep it in a separate purse.

We also went a wander round the charity shops and I got a jacket, cardigan and 3 tops for the bargain price of £6 :T

Bought 2 pairs of anti-blister socks yesterday - £9.45. Went for a walk in my new shoes and they seemed pretty comfy
We also spent £39.96 on a new fence which I put up today, makes the garden look fab. Spent £3.98 on potatoes and onions which I plan to plant at some point this week.
I filled the car up with petrol and spent £41.67 which means I've now spent more than what I'd budgeted. Definitely won't have to fill up again this month though. Spent £4 on parking yesterday too.
Bank balance is stressing me out somewhat as there's been a few unplanned purchases this month. Will just need to keep the rest of the month as tight as possible.
