Despite the continued sneezing and bad weather-presents were delivered yesterday which have really cleared some space as they have been stored all year in suitcases, so one suitcase now empty that I'm determined not to fill again. Note to self i will not go mad in the sales this year........storing it is a nightmare and there are bargains to be picked up all year......smaller ones!
Could count all the little presents making up the gift bags but just going to count each gift bag to make the challenge harder for me
*332-336 birthday presentsx4 dropped off (saved on postage aswell)
*337-340 Christmas bags x3 dropped off
Have sold another craft item on the bay of e so that will be more clutter out. Not bothered that i got a few pennies for it, I'm chuffed that someone will get to use it while it was sat doing nothing with me.......i hadn't even taken it out of its packaging. Happy days

Wow, well that was a great weekend for decluttering, although most of the credit belongs to my OH who suddenly had a fit of enthusiasm and sorted loads of rubbish out. His total was 54 and I managed a total of 5 things to go to the Charity shop, so really pleased with that.
Also the family member I spoke to about taking back the desk has said yes and is happy to have it back so that’s one item rehomed, well returned to it’s original home. Not counting that one as it needs to be delivered which won’t be straightforward.
Keep on decluttering everyone!0 -
Sorted out to take to the cs this week:

Villagelife, :T well done on keeping up the good work & well done to DS2 - not only cleaning but contributing your teatowel to the decluttering :rotfl:
Marmiterules, :T well done but I hope the piggy bank was empty :rotfl:The cs must be loving you :T - kitchen AND bedroom decluttering - you must be creating oodles of space :rotfl:
Cherryblossomzel, :T on donating the DAB radio - I too used to be guilty of hanging on to things because I had paid good money for thembut now I am pretty good at releasing items to the CS - I know it is a bit vain of me but it gives me a warm glow when the cs staff question whether or not I am sure about my donation
Absolutely brilliant result on the suitcase :T
Happy Kitties, you seem to be thriving on challenging yourself- I, on the other hand, am a bit of a wimp & count everything :rotfl:
tboo, rootle - well done on keeping stuff moving out :T
Wanna Bee Free, can I have some of the ‘decluttering potion’ that you gave to your OH :rotfl: I need to give some to my DSis :rotfl: Well done on the numbers :T
Saturday was the most gloriously sunny & warm day with a warm brisk breeze :T All my washing done, dried on whirligig, folded & put away :T DSis even managed one loadMy DH spent more time in the garage on his garden table project. Dinner was pork loin steaks, boiled potatoes, green beans & chicken gravy made in the pan used to fry the pork. Truly scrumptious
Sunday was a miserable day - rained from early morning right through to early Monday morning. Did nothing apart from knitting, drinking tea/coffee & catching up on recorded TV programmes. Chinese takeaway with enough for Monday night’s dinner.
Monday was a dry day - mostly. I sent DH & DSis to the sm :rotfl: & I made a quick visit to MrA to buy a black blouse & a pair of black shoes. Managed the blouse easily, but a very poor choice of ladies black shoes so I resorted to buying a pair of men’s shoesI am also very proud that I bought absolutely nothing else :rotfl: Picked up 31 bits of litter today - the concrete steps are still pretty clear apart from leaves but unfortunately there are loads of plastic bags, bottles etc in the dock
Re my three mantras over the 3 days: aired & made bed; washed up; worktops washed down; filled sugar bowl, sugar, coffee & tea bag jars; general tidying
Numbers as follows:
C1329 - C1338 Non recyclable - 5 plastic bags, plastic pot & lid, plastic packaging, 2 plastic trays, small plastic pot - binned
C1339 - C1345 Leaflets, newspaper, magazine, egg carton, toilet roll tube, 2 cardboard packaging - recycled

Mrs SD, the decluttering potion seems to involve ignoring two months of negative comments and jokes and just plugging away solo. And then going out for an evening without him! Great result!!
I cleaned the fridge yesterday, sorry to steal the fridge cleaning mojo but there was icky stuff and it really needed it!
One small pile of paper shredded before work and a book finished on my way to work this morning so that was 2 before 9am!
It’s all adding up slowly. Keep going everyone!!0 -
:j Hi fellow declutterers,
I will not be doing any decluttering now until Thursday, as DH & I are heading down to Kent for his aunt’s funeral.
See you Thursday
