2018 - No Clutter To Be Seen

I'm off to a flying start - 100 items - ready to be taken to the Charity Shop on Weds when I wangled a lift !!! Mostly clothes (some mine & some my late friend's) - some books & bric-a-brac also. Quite a few of them had already been put aside but now all bagged up and I've added more today - Naturally got up to 96 & couldn't resist bringing it up to a nice round 100 so had a quick visit to the loft to cull a few more bits !!
Really pleased with my start - I knew joining this challenge would help :T
So 100/700
@Molillie - I think that's definitely a contributing factor !!Shifting my energy for 20200 -
Nothing decluttered today, just dust and dirt as I stripped all the beds including mattress and pillow protectors, washed everything, dried in the sunshine, vacuumed under and behind and remade up. Smells of Persil in every room now and everyone gets to sleep in loveliness tonight. I am focusing on this rather than the paperwork I haven't sorted yet. Back to work tomorrow, the house only goes downhill during the week!

1. IF I NOTICE SOME SMALL TASK NEEDS DOING - I WILL DO IT IMMEDIATELY
2. I WILL LEAVE A ROOM TIDIER THAN WHEN I WENT IN - WITHOUT HIDING THE CLUTTER EXCEPT for the wardrobe room which is currently the storage room (sr)
3. THE LAST WASHING UP OF THE DAY WILL BE PUT AWAY BEFORE I GO TO BED
some random, welcome & well done - 100 in a day :T that is spectacular :T
It was a gloriously hot & sunny Sunday :T
We were quite lazy today - all 3 of us had baths. DH vacuumed landing & round our bed :T but I didn’t have the heart to tell him that he didn’t do a very good job :rotfl: He also finally phoned his DSis :T
I vacuumed downstairs including kitchen floor & put my cuddly toys in the wm in laundry bags. Left them in the laundry bags & hung on whirligig. Fluffed them up in the td:rotfl: I was going to donate several to cs but as I had culled them last year, I have only donated one teddy bear = 20% - just four left :rotfl: Also turned all the cushions on the two sofas.
Walked to the pub past the dock - crested grebes, coots, Canada Geese, mallards & seagulls & I picked up 26 pieces of litter & put in bins :rotfl: Had a lovely Sunday Roast & a few drinks - then walked home via the dock - 16 Canada Geese
Re my three mantras: aired & made bed; vacuumed downstairs; worktops washed down; general tidying

22. MP3 speaker (now redundant as we have a bluetooth one)
23. Old hairbrush
24. OH swim bag
25. Cushion (found under bed, not a cushion perso, must have come with a duvet set
26. 1 pair shoes
Cleaned the 'nasty corner' of the bedroom, unearthed the other day when I binned the lampshade. It was hiding a multitude of sins, so much dust and some mildew! Eww, it's a wonder we don't have any breathing problems. Going to concetrate on vacuuming all those hard to reach places in the bedroom. It's amazing that when you really start having a 'spring' clean how insummountable it seems when you start unearthing stuff. We only have a 2 up 2 down house and it never seems that full but I just keep finding more and more stuff. I need to go through the cupboard under the stairs (the cupboard of mystery as it's known) and the shed. I have a few horsey items which need taking to the secondhand tack shop for sale, plus I need to go through my books and see what I can jetteson. It's feels great but oh such hard work!
Oh and I received another cup as a late birthday present - rellies know I love tea and if they're not sure what to get me they just think - cups! I'm tempted to get rid of my strange assortment of novelty mugs and replace them with 4 matching mugs, I think it will have a calming effect.
Also, not sure if anyone else does this, but I'm collecting my old pens up to send to Pens for Kids charity. They get sent abroad to 3rd world countries schools which I think is lovely. Realistically we only need a few biros in the house. I've collected about 10 so far!0 -

grn.w.nv, if you keep plugging away it will get better - the more you get out of your home the easier it is to keep clean :rotfl: What is that saying ‘no gain without pain’ :rotfl:
Re the mugs - I halved my collection a while ago :rotfl: still have more than I need but not yet ready to cull them any further :rotfl: 4 matching mugs seems perfect but if you have a couple of favourites I would also keep them
I have never heard of Pens for Kids (I will google it) as it seems a worthy cause - so well done grn.w.nv :T
Another warm & sunny day in East London
Spent time during the day being entertained by squirrels’ antics but did manage a few tasks -
Cleaned out & sorted my under sink kitchen cupboard - feeling really chuffed as it didn’t take long - bragging voice now ‘I Obviously did a good job first time around’ :rotfl:
Window cleaner came, cleaned the windows & cleared the gutters (he even took pictures to show me how clear they are :rotfl: ) + he really enjoyed my hm coconut biccies :rotfl: which I proffered with a cup of coffee.
DH has completed the drop down table in the shed & it works perfectly :T:T:T He will dismantle it & paint it tomorrow - then it will be done :T
DSis, scrubbed the birdies water bowls & watered the plants.
Pleasant walk by the dock on the way to sm - fed the Canada Geese, coots & mallards - the seagulls weren’t quick enough :rotfl: Saw the cormorant againbut had forgotten my camera
Uncluttered_unicorn, I have joined the ranks of those randomly picking up street litter :rotfl: - embarrasses my DH & DSis no end :rotfl:.
Today it was 108 bits (sweet wrappers, bits of plastic, tin cans, plastic bottles etc, etc, etc ) because I found a couple of plastic bags to fill. The real pleasure was that a chap saw me doing this & found a large carrier bag & joined me in picking up litter - he filled the bag & also a small box:D - lots of plastic bits which won’t end up in the dock & choking the birds. I have to say that I was so very happy
:D & the area we picked the litter from now only has leaves :rotfl: I carried all the bags etc to the bin with a cheery wave goodbye from my ‘assistant’. First thing I did when I got to sm, was use the facilities to scrub my hands :rotfl:
Shopping wasn’t too much of a chorebut still no wholegrain mustard  that is two weeks now
Left it too late to cook so DH ordered kebabs & chips - very tasty
Re my three mantras: aired & made bed; washed up as & when; returned the clean cuddly toys to their place on top of the bedroom bookshelf; filled sugar bowl, teabags & coffee jars & decanted a box of teabags into plastic container; worktops washed down; boxed/bagged Saturday’s los & put in freezer; put shopping away & updated my lists; swept decking; general tidying

Not quite the 100 items of day one but I guess 100 items a day wouldn't be realistic :rotfl:Shifting my energy for 20200 -
Mrs Salad Dodger - Excuse my username change, been meaning to do it for ages, hope it doesn't cause confusion! Yeah Pens for Kids is a good idea, can't remember where i heard about it originally.
Just an additional 4 items in the bin today, almost used up cleaning products under the sink. Got a new washing machine coming on Saturday (after 10 days without one - nightmare!) Thought i'd better tidy under the sink otherwise the installation guys won't be able to plumb it in.0 -
I took some plastic plant pots, two wooden things on wheels (no idea what to call them) and a plastic basin to the recycling point today.0
-
104 - dead paint brush - bin
105 - room spray set - friend
106 & 7 - 2x cards finally sent (horribly delayed...)Shifting my energy for 20200
