You just reminded me I need to do a side to side turn. Last time I tried to do a flip I ended up with the mattress on the floor and me on top of it "This site is addictive!"

The sushi roll duvet cover is easy enough but I am short and have a king sized bed so I do have to make two trips to each side of the roll. The crucial bit for me (and which also keeps the duvet in the right place inside the cover on my more restless nights) are the three tapes sewn inside the duvet cover and the three matching tapes sewn to my duvet.
Lie the duvet cover inside out on the bed. Lie the duvet on top and tie the tapes. Start rolling the duvet towards you with the duvet cover underneath so you end up with a duvet sausage roll. When I get the end I just flip the ends of the duvet right side out and shake to unfurl rather than unroll.
The HT and I have spent the afternoon rearranging bedroom furniture. My bedroom looks beautiful, his has an extra set of shelves and the spare room now has a bed side cabinet next to the bed instead of a set of shelves that were really too large for the space. This is what happens when I realise I need steroids and antibiotics at the start of being ill instead of waiting until I can barely breathe. I am now casting dirty looks at the sitting room and wondering what we can manage in here....0 -
I'll see your pillowcases and duvet covers, and I'll raise you one mattress-flip.
For that's what we were doing today; Mr LW has a wonderful (!) system of flipping it side-to-side one time, and end-to-end the next. And today was end-to-end.
I've numbered the edges of my mattress! Doesn't help but makes me feel better. I've got a new 'no turn' one coming on 08 January!LW

I can't do a flip by myself, the mattress is far too heavy! Ex-OH comes in handy during his visits. Sorry Cranky, that sounds really complicated. None of my duvet covers, nor my duvet, have tapes and I think I may end up inside the sausage roll!
Pillows are too fat to get the cases on easily. I have to squash them down whilst, at the same time, trying to pull the case down.
Judi - I will try the inside out thing with pillows next time!
Joy - the open bottle of wine I left in the 'fridge last week is still drinkable. Now who said 'small things please small minds'??0 -
As I live alone I find it handy to use a peg in each corner of the duvet cover Turning my double mattress is not even a possibility for me as I only have partial mbility in my right arm because of lymphodema ,but I have two smashing DD's and they will do it for me bless them.
I have been very busy today and my little study looks a lot neater than it was another five bags for the charity shop, and four for the tip tomorrow Still more to do and its only one small boxroom/bedroom Tomorrow I shall be tackling the spare bedroom I'm on a oll and its gotta go
The amount of junk in one small room was ridiculous really .
FBO I hope you get a peaceful outcome for your cousin her parents must be devastated.
